Q: what is the difference between this aluminum pod and the plastic purple. They both say dark roast espresso but taste different? Why?

Iirc, the plastic ones were the ones they made in Europe and without official Nespresso backing. These new ones are official nespresso capsules, apparently. In my experience, aluminum capsules keep coffee fresher for longer than the plastic ones. I’ve hated every plastic capsule I’ve gotten over the years of owning a nespresso machine. Plus, as they mentioned, you can recycle the aluminium ones. Nespresso offers postage paid recycle bags where you just fill them up with used capsules, seal it and then mail it using UPS. I’m assuming that these Starbucks pods can be put in those bags. Peet’s coffee also makes aluminum pods and they have their own recycling bag program. Peet’s tends to be slightly cheaper than Starbucks by Nespresso or even regular Nespresso pods.

The Starbucks by Nespresso, Espresso Dark Roast is an OriginalLine capsule and will be compatible for all OriginalLine Nespresso machines including the Inissia.

Boy! If you have a copy of your order (I always have email verification) I would call Amazon. Just type in “Call customer service” in the Amazon browser. You can request “CALL ME NOW”. Be ON the order you want to talk about. It will say “are you asking about this?” The product your asking about will show You type “yes” Your phone will ring … Amazon is extremely quick with customer service. The best I’ve ever seen. They can see what you requested … and if you got the wrong item they WILL take care of you. I’ve never had a problem ever. Superior customer service. Afterwards be sure to have written down the customer service representatives name. I always give a good comment to great service 👍 Hope this helps and you get the right coffee. The Blonde is really really good ♥️
