Worked fine and was able to understand the instructions. Allowed me to repair the mother board on my Kenmore Elite Dryer for $9.99 plus tax rather than paying a few hundred dollars for a new mother board.

This was a gift for a friend of mine who needed a soldering kit quickly for a short project, after his main gear broke down. My friend was shocked when I told him the price of it, he said that it handled well and worked better than what he expected especially after hearing about the price. It did not fall short on anything, it feels extremely well built and after having used it on a few other small projects, he said that it was very durable for the task. It came with a few extra goodies and a small guide that for the price is great. If you need a soldering kit or want to try a soldering kit, this is the one for you.

This is a decent kit for someone just learning how to solder. It has a variety of different tips and it gets hot pretty fast. Only problem is, I don't think the dial on the iron works that well to adjust temperature.

I have only had this Plusivo Soldering iron kit for just a few days, and have only used it for about an hour. I can say that even if it stopped working right now, it would have already paid for itself(12$). I was able to replace a couple of capacitors in a flat screen TV, wire a webcam from a laptop to a USB cable, and replace a headphone jack on two pair of headphones. I got this because I needed a smaller tip iron for the headphone jack repair. I will say that one should avoid running the iron at full temp for extended periods with the small tip. I recommend reducing temp until ready to use and reducing temp while idle. The small tip easily becomes deformed, but still functions. The solder sucker actually works great, I have braid but used the included tool and it performed perfectly. They include a generous amount of shrink wrap, which I used on the headphones. I think it adds a clean finish. I guess the only thing missing is some flux, but for the low price I really can't complain. Even without it, the solder included in the kit adhered fine, I am pretty sure it is a hollow core with rosin. I would definitely recommend this product for convenience and performance.

For the price, understandably there are some QC issues. I probably could have returned the kit but for so little money, I just ordered a new iron to use with the existing pieces. This comes with a bit of everything you might need for small-scale, hobby soldering. You've got some solder, heat shrink tubing, a desoldering pump, etc. I imagine they may quality test them in the factory by turning them on for just a moment and letting them heat up, which mine did satisfactorily. Unfortunately, after warming up and desolding one tab of a battery in a GBC cartridge, the LED indicating the power was on suddenly shut off, and so did the iron, never to return. I've kept the rest of the kit as a good starter set, nothing in there is premium or super high quality but it'll get you started and for that the price is fantastic. I'll probably continue using several pieces of this for months or years as I build out my gear, since I am just a hobbyist. And hopefully if you're like 99% of the other reviewers, your soldering iron will work.

Il soude très bien. Très rapide pour atteindre les hautes températures. Facile d'utilisation et les outils qui viennent avec sont de bonne qualité pour des petits travaux de soudures. Moi, j'ai réparé un tableau de contrôle pour un piscine au sel. Plus long de démontrer et remonter que de souder.

el cautín es bastante bueno y entre la experiencia que ya tenia y el manual la punta se encuentra como nueva aun después de varios usos ,su micro base para el es un detalle perfecto considerando que los cautines económicos que no se vendan en combo no tienen la base , lo único malo seria la falta de pasta para soldar pero se puede conseguir barata en un steren menos de $20 pesos y una tabla fenólica perforada para practicar que tampoco superan los $10 pesos , tanto la tipo navaja-tijera? , como el extractor están bien cumplen muy bien y el detallaso de la cinta , los termo retractiles y cables son un añadido bueno pero no muy necesario en electrónica pero para algo como arreglar un cable de un cargador viene muy bien la caja como se menciona casi como característica al venderte el producto si es bastante fuerte pero yo llevaría el cautín aparte para no doblar mucho el cable de este pero para tener organizado lo demás y con espacio la caja cumple muy bien , el abrir y cambiar las puntas del cautín es muy sencillo y recuerden si no leen el manual en este indica que se puede abrir sin pinzas no tiene mucha presión de donde se abre el cautín como para tener que llevar una herramienta para abrirlo y cambiar a otra punta,

Necesitaba soldar las puntas de un cable Jack y las herramientas de este kint y un video simple que encontré me ayudaron a hacerlo sin problemas. El kit incluye un cupón para descargar un ebook de soldadura que aún no reviso a fondo, pero es un plus. La verdad, muy buena compra y relación calidad-precio.

Compre dos, el de mi amigo salio bueno y no tuvo quejas, pero el mío a los 2 meses empezó a dejar de calentar, limpie la punta del cautín, cambié de puntas y no quiso volver a funcionar igual, lo cual es una lástima porque realmente hacía un muy buen trabajo de soldadura con sus puntas y era muy cómodo, lamentablemente no lo pude cambiar y a veces funciona un poco mejor y otras simplemente no, en especial cuando se ocupa mucho tiempo. En cuanto al kit es muy útil, trae muchos accesorios útiles y para el precio que lo adquirí conviene mucho, ví otro con funda pero la verdad este viene en su caja y así es bastante cómodo y es mucho más económico y trae casi lo mismo
