I'm not much of a believer in Big Foot, but it is a fun read. Set up pretty much like an encyclopedia with short articles. I skip over stories about movies that have been made about the creature but enjoy reading the short stories. Fun to set it out for friends and family to pick up and flip through. I seriously doubt such a creature actually exist, at least not in today's world, but I have been in some deep remote forests that might allow an unknown creature to successfully avoid being seen or discovered. But with today's thermal imaging, remote cameras, drones, DNA research, etc... I think there would be definitive conclusive evidence that would flood the news. But... Still entertaining to contemplate. I used to tell my kids lots of Big Foot stories I made up when sitting around the campfire. They enjoyed the time and so did I. If I ever have grandchildren, this book will provide lots of stories!

My boyfriend loved this book. He said it was the most thorough and interesting book about Bigfoot he's ever read.

Nick Redfern has taken a great volume of information and put it together into a compendium that is fairly complete. The author gives brief overviews not only of American reports, but gives a truly international feel by showcasing reports out of South America, Australia, Asia, Europe and even his home country of England, a lot of which I was unaware of and most likely was written about in Nick's other Bigfoot books focusing on Anomalous Primates of the British Isles. I do have to caution though, that the author is not prone to shy away from the more fantastical elements reported by some witnesses, such as the alleged connection to UFOs, strange disappearances by these creatures, hominids which seem to be impervious to gunfire and cases where the creatures seemed to be not entirely substantial but are described in terms of a witness attempting to hit the creature, but the object used goes right through the creature(!) Whether you agree with or believe those more fantastical elements or not is irrelevant because the author has included those bits of controversy into this excellent volume with no prejudice or editing. I truly enjoyed this book, and do recommend it to those who may not know a great deal about this subject or for that person (like me) who just loves to read about these mystery creatures. I give this one a solid 9 stars. Excellent all the way around!

Good reference book for people wanting to know more about cryptids and mysterious creatures.

I’m a firm believer in Sasquatch/ Bigfoot and this encyclopaedia is a must own for anyone who believes in the big guy. I always find myself flicking through and before i know it a couple of hours have passed

I only read a small amount of the book as I purchased it for a gift. From what I read, it seemed to be well-written and informative. I also purchased a Bigfoot colouring-in book to go with The Bigfoot Book.

The absolute must for ANYONE interested in bigfoot. It's just an amazing report of the experience.
