Does this make the polymer stamps?

Dear Ginger, I can't begin to tell you what a nightmare this kit was. I ended up returning it after I finally ran out of "sachets", even extras ordered from another supplier, all failures. I watched at least five different videos from different suppliers of this kit and every one of them gave different directions and exposure times. It was like trying to hit a moving target and all of the videos make it look so easy. Also, only one supplier (Rio grande.com) mentioned in its small print that the included disk was for PC users only, not Mac. I have spent over $300, two months of exasperation and I still do not have a stamp. Also, I ended up building my own exposure clamp and lights and am still trying. RioGrande.com includes an HP printer for only about $20 more than most suppliers of this kit charge (ex: Theresa Collins). All of the kits come from the same UK manufacturer and in my opinion, $173-199 is far too much for what you get. I'm sure the process will work, eventually. I just haven't perfected it yet. Good luck to you. I think you would be better off (if it's only one embossing stamp you need) to go online to a rubber stamp manufacturer and have them make it for you. The seller for the Amazon.com kit called me personally to better understand the problems I had with the kit. We are good friends now.If you have other questions I can answer I will be happy to do so. Where is the polymer? Is ir preloaded in the sachets?

Yes it is sealed in the sachets. The unit works by exposing the sealed sachet, then you cut it out and separate the parts, wash it out and re-expose it to harden. Fair warning you WILL WASTE some learning the technique. The magnetic clamp/frame sucks and the one I received was labeled backwards leading me to expose the wrong side of the sachet (it took a few times to figure out this problem). So pay extra close attention to the instructions and make certain everything is in the right order. The magnetic clamp does not seal well leading to slanted exposures (at least on mine), so I added clamps to make it even out. Suggestions, get an extra pair of scissors to cut the sachet, the polymer is VERY sticky, trim it over a trash can with a liner, use warm water and get a better scrub brush that is better than the one packed with it as well as some rubber gloves. The polymer will stick to you and everything it comes into contact with making a mess. I use a 9x13 glass baking dish to wash in, it gives me room to work (I have big hands). The sachets are available is multiple places - some vastly cheaper than others, so shop around before shucking out the bucks and know which size you need, the refills come in one size per box.

110 voltage serious problem

i wondering why no one mention anythings about the voltages if the device work with 110v or 220v. i received the device and plug it to 220v, its blow up, in my country the electricity between 220v & 240v. so i didnt benefit any things from that device, because they didnt mention anythings about the voltages before you make the order or any description over the voltages.

It works if you can print dark enough

This worked great when I had a printer that printed the black dark enough. Unfortunately, the printers these days are frugal with the ink output. I haven't been able to use this thing for years. I tried selling it but no one would buy it.

I sent it back. It was going to be way more involved using my Apple computer than I wanted. I also checked availability of the film and gel. Not only was it going to be hard to get, but very expensive. I decided it is cheaper yo buy the stamps.

Love making my own stamps.

I bought this 4 years ago and because of a major illness I wasn't able to use it until now. I love how it works. The cleaning process is not great, the stamp making gel is very sticky and it takes a long time to get it all clean. However once that is done and you do the second pace under the UV lights, you have created a beautiful stamp. The reason for the four stars, is because of the cleaning process otherwise I would give it a five.
