Effective after 2200 mile road trip
Besides the absolutely abysmal directions , this is a great product! Very cheap and stood the test of the road with a Thule on my XC 90 with no less than 150 pounds. It got pretty noisy at speeds over 75mph but besides that it was a great purchase.

Overall Excellent For Money with a Few Minor Quibbles
This is a high quality product for a fraction of cost or OEM or Thule. (I couldn't move Thule rack from my Audi Q7 to Volvo XC90 because they discontinued Volvo adapter and wanted me to pay $800 for the three parts that would make their new rack work on my Volvo - I'm never buying Thule again.) I would recommend this cross bar, but I have 1 tip and 2 quibbles: 1. installation is fairly easy once you figure it out but pictures and description in instructions are terrible. Basically you need to slide the welded bolts under the bar which doesn't look like they would fit but do. I found a YouTube video that helped but it wasn't specifically for Volvo 2. After you install and want to put attachments on this crossbar there is an issue that I faced, but you night not. The slot in the rack that you can slide "t bolts" into that stick up and you can use to attach a ski rack to are a VERY odd size. The head of the bolt needs to be 16mm x 16mm which are not available on Amazon. (Only rectangular head T-bolts with 16mm width are available but they don't work as they won't catch for tightening.) So I bought T-bolts with 20mm x 20mm head and used a hack saw and vice to cut one side down to 16mm. 3. The hex driver hole in the bolts that attach crossbar to car are made of a soft metal and already started to slip on initial install. I doubt you will get more than two or three installs/removals before it strips. They provide an extra bolt (probably knowing this as they didn't provide extras for other bolts) but still... Overall, a good purchase though as cheap, study and looks good and fits on Volvo XC90...

Great value
Used the product to carry a Thule roof box during a 1200 mile drive from Florida to Texas. Despite previous reviews I experienced no issues with intallation or noise. Installation took about 1 hr (needed to view the youtube link which was provided on the instruction sheet in order to get the complete step by step install instructions). Product is sturdy and no issues with noise. Overall great value.

Noisy!
The end caps are loose and they vibrate loudly at over 40 mph. We have had to tape heavily around the ends to stop the vibration. Don't waste your money, I’ll be buying Thule next time.

Great for trips
Installed on my Volvo 2019 XC90 to put a friends Yakima hard storage box on it. We used it for a week and had it really loaded down. The rails held up great and I’ve left them on. Easy to install and I don’t notice any noise when the box isn’t on them. When the box is on there’s a noise when I reach 65mph. Not anything you can’t deal with on a trip.

Fit fine, but noisy!
We got an xc90, our first "luxury car" and maybe we should have gotten the "luxury" crossbars. They went on easily and fit the roof rails well. However, The moment we drove around with them we noticed a pretty bad rattle that for the life of me, I can't make go away. I've added foam strips (just regular weatherstripping) to the end covers which fit a little loosely. The foam helped get rid of the low speed rattle if we drove over bumps, but a rattle persisted if we went over 45mph. I've tried to tape down and secure the rubber parts that might be causing the noise, but I can't make the noise go away. I'm debating either taking them off unless I need them (a hassle) or just cranking up the music every time I drive on the highway (my poor ears.) For the record, I'm not that fussy, but I can't stop noticing this and it's driving me crazy. But they do look cool.

A good roof rail
1) Best for the value For $99, you cannot find any better aero roof rail, vs Volvo OEM costs at least $300 and Thule (the original) costs at least $500-600. 2) easy installation: Instruction is very simple but you might need to do a bit of research. The front and back piece are different sizes. 96/98 respectively ( I forget the exact measure) but they are not too short but not too long either. meaning you don't need to cut the thick aluminum bar. A bracket that includes, I had no idea how to install until seeing the youtube videos. you have to unscrew the hex bolts and separate them from them, in order to slide into the bar frame. 3) Estimate time for installation: 2-5 hours depending on your skill and the tool you own. A hex bit with an impact driver is a must. otherwise, you will learn it the hard way. For my 2022 Volvo XC90, I measured from the end of the rail trims (my vehicle came with a side grip, no rail) 23.5 in / 55.5in from the back (where the trunk and end of the rail trims) and mounted the bar. I own a Thule Force XT Large size cargo box (an old generation). it fits perfectly without interfering with the trunk being opened. Overall, this is the best-valued roof rail system over another 3rd party (Idk) brand. Well, someone said this is noisy but, come on, you are installing something for your extra hobby or something (roof rack , bike rack, or etc) what do you expect? 0 noise with stealth design? I don't think so. you should adapt it even if you pay an extra $300-400 won't solve this problem.
