These bags are sturdy, reusable, and seal well — a great eco-friendly alternative to single-use sous vide bags. I like the variety of sizes, which makes it easy to cook everything from steaks to vegetables. The included clips are a nice touch and keep the bags securely in place during cooking. That said, I highly recommend getting the version that comes with the small pump for vacuum sealing. Without it, it’s a bit tricky to get all the air out by hand. Once you have the pump, though, these bags work perfectly and make sous vide cooking much easier. Great value overall, especially if paired with the right accessories.

i discovered sous vide cooking a couple years ago from Guga, and Sous Vide Everything, and have incorporated it into more than ½ of my meal plan for our family. Steaks, stews, freezing and reheating, it makes everything simpler, and the vacuum system means there’s no freezer burn, and everything is cooked to a safe temperature of my family. this vacuum pump is the handheld one i like the best, it has a liquid separator attachment that allows the vacuum to work with bags that contain liquid. the other hand held ones that do not come with the liquid separator fail if any liquid is vacuumed. the blue zippered bags with the blue seal are all about the same no matter who they are purchased from. the bags are very strong, the zippers seal really well, but the vacuum seals are what everyone seem to complain about, if they don’t seal, the bag loses vacuum, or worse, allows water in the bag during the sous vide process. there is a simple fix for this, that after years of using these bags, i’ve never had a seal failure, all it takes is a piece of clear tape over the seal after vacuuming the bag. it stays on in the freezer, and stays on when reheating the bag in water later, problem solved! the bags are even washable as long as you haven’t heated them up too much previously, turn them inside out and wash them in dish soap. this set came with several sizes of bags to fit different types of food storage needs. overall a decent value, but a one star ding because they tend to include unnecessary accessories to pad the piece count of the order, i’d rather have more bags.

I really like this product and bags. I had a countertop food vacuum sealer with a hose attachment that gave out. I bought this and saved a lot of money on buying a new vacuum sealer. I use it to store bacon, deli meats, cheese, and other stuff I use regularly. I also use it to store meats and other products in the freezer. It's easy to use, and provides a tight seal instantly. You don't have to keep pressing the button. Press it once and it keeps drawing the air out until you press it again. Because they are zipper bags, you take out what you want and reseal the bag again. It comes with a good supply of three different size bags. Would definitely recommend.

I needed 'em, bought 'em, haven't had the opportunity to use .em yet.

As far as I'm concerned these are a complete waste of time and money and are no more than glorifies Ziplocs. I have a good powered vacuum and wasted more time than was necessary trying to get the air out of these bags. they collapse around the "valve" and air doesn't move. I've tried all the inflating, pinching moving the food closer to the "valve" to give it room to work to no avail. Overpriced Ziplocs. If you have a decent vacuum spend the money on bags with a real "space bag" style valve, not this nonsense.

After charging, the electric pump continuously runs without provocation. Cannot be turned off with off button. The vacuum never really worked.

I just purchased a sous vide cooker and tried to use it with regular ziplock bags. While it kind of worked, it was challenging as the bags always floated at the top of the water line, and I had to use a rock (size of about large potato) to keep the bag under water. While that did the trick, it was not easy as the rock got hot, etc... I then went on to buy these sous vide bags with the small portable and rechargeable vacuum designed specifically for these kind of bags, and it worked great. No need for anything else. The vacuum would work with any kind of bags that has this simple technology. After I was done, I returned the bags upside down, washed them with soap, water and a sponge and let them dry. They were like new, and I was able to reuse them. I have been using the same bags up to 5 times and they are still working well. The nice surprise, is the attachment with the vacuum that allows me to reseal a bottle of wine. It worked great and I do not have to either finish a bottle of wine in 2 days or loose it. I recommend these bags / vacuum combo.

Works perfect

Been using these to store rolls of masking tape (it's an experiment!), and rolls of 3D printer filament. They feel pretty tough, the zippers seem to seal well. I have an electric vac pump, and so far I haven't killed any of the bags even under the pressure of the heavy vac that it can pull. If you have a hand powered one, you're probably even safer!

I LOVE these bags! Great for quickly vacuum-sealing opened foods like cheese, sandwich meat, half an avocado etc, and greatly extends the freshness and aging of said foods! Needs the little hand-powered vacuum pump from another kit, but takes literally seconds to pump and holds the vacuum for weeks

0 would be better! 2 nages worked. They are not compatible with food saver machines. Wish i could have my money back!
