I AM USING IT TO CONVERT 110V TO 240V Review: Hard to Find in the US - A lot of people buy electronics directly from China, nowadays, due to a huge difference in pricing and availability. But if you buy a 220V product, you need a 220V power supply, and 110 to 220 transformers are hard to find compared to vice versa, and many shopping websites have atrociously bad search features. This item will switch 220V to 110V and 110V to 220V. Read the instructions, though! Because the switch on the transformer is ambiguous, and you can't tell if it means 220V IN or 220V OUT, which makes kind of a difference. Unfortunately, it doesn't have (or accept) a grounding plug, and a lot of electrical appliances use a grounded plug (go figure), so it's really not optimal. But it does what it says it does, and it's a good value for the price.

A useful transformer. In the USA expect 240V output.
I measured - in my place in the USA, the outlet voltage is 119V (and I googled - it is expected to have measured 120V 50Hz) . I measured, the transformer in my place gives out 240V instead of 220V, which is also, it looks like it is a common thing - in Russia, they say, it is common to measure 240V in the outlet. I plugged in my low power 220V Russian device and it works fine. When I say low power, I mean it takes little of wattage power, lower than 50W, but the voltage is high - 240V.

Lasted 1 day
Terrible- took it to China so I could charge my devices. 110 to 220. I plugged it in at night and it was really noisy, so not ideal. The next day, I plugged it in for a quick charge before heading out and the thing made a huge bang and that was it- it was burnt on the inside and never worked after that. Funny because it has a big MADE IN CHINA sticker on it- and it doesn’t even work in China :)

It was burnt on 2nd day
I was using it for input AV 220V 30W Aquarium water filter of my turtle tank, my filter stopped working on 2nd day since this adapter was burnt, something was going out at the bottom of adapter. Very cheap quality.
