Great for boils

Not the best flavor. Not bad but not great. A bit too spicy in order to get enough flavor.

I bought the Geaux Creole Seafood Boil Seasoning when my local HEB was out of my prior "go-to" crawfish seasoning, Zatarain's Pro Boil. During the first use (and since), I had a TON of "best crawfish I've ever had" compliments and have been using it for every boil for the past 2 years with continued compliments and success. I still mix in a touch of the Pro Boil as well as liquid seasoning to kick the heat up a notch (as requested by my friends)... still VERY flavorful and not too hot.

I've been running crawfish boils for over a decade for our LSU alumni chapter in Raleigh NC. Several years ago we were approached by Chris Freret about trying his seasoning. I was a bit skeptical at first because we had a good blend we'd been using for a while, but decided to give it a shot. BEST MOVE EVER. We go many unsolicited compliments on the flavor that year and have stuck with Geaux Creole. It's spicy with a really nice mix of flavors but not too salty. You can also add a little bit of liquid crab boil (we use the Zatarain's). This stuff is great - verified by 100+ Louisianans at our boils who have loved it!

Used this on a sack with about 16oz of Louisiana liquid concentrate, and this made the best batch I’ve had in a couple years. Found it locally at a store but will definitely get it where I can.

I originally got this to use boiling crawfish, but ever since I tried it I use it with everything. I have found it's the best seasoning for seafood. It's incredibly flavorful without being too spicy or salty. I even started using a few tablespoons in the water when I boil chicken! Yum!!!
