THIS IS A PAL ALL REGIONS DVD. Farhan Qureshi and Raju Rastogi want to re-unite with their fellow collegian, Rancho, after faking a stroke aboard an Air India plane, and excusing himself from his wife - trouser less - respectively. Enroute, they encounter another student, Chatur Ramalingam, now a successful businessman, who reminds them of a bet they had undertaken 10 years ago. The trio, while recollecting hilarious antics, including their run-ins with the Dean of Delhi's Imperial College of Engineering, Viru Sahastrabudhe, race to locate Rancho, at his last known address - little knowing the secret that was kept from them all this time. Review: Another amazing movie by Aamir Khan - This is the fourth movie I've seen starring Aamir Khan and each time I'm more impressed with his ability as an actor. I love the social message his movies send. This movie is about 3 roommates who become lifelong friends at a prestigious engineering university and a fourth student who is only concerned with prestige, achievement and money. It explores the pressure students at the university are under to succeed combined with family pressure to be an engineer, whether or not it's their passion. I'm American but a huge Bollywood fan and while I'm used to the typical music-filled romance movies, this movie was refreshing and I immediately wanted the best for the characters from the beginning to the end. That's not to say there's no romance. Kareena Kapoor is a wonderful addition to the cast as Aamir's love interest, they complement each other well. This movie flawlessly takes a comedic approach to a serious issue while appreciating the seriousness of the subject matter. Honestly if mainstream Hollywood attempted this I probably would not have given this movie the time of day. If you are new to Bollywood beware, movies tend to be at least 3 hours and this movie runs just short of that. The first half begins as 2 of the main characters are looking for Aamir's character and their story in college is juxtaposed with it. The second half focuses on their lives after college as they continue their journey. It's not confusing, just more layered than most Hollywood movies. I'd recommend this to anyone, Indian or not, Bollywood fan or not if nothing else for the message it sends: to go after your passion. This movie displays friendship, love, sadness, challenges and comedy. Review: When you want a feel-good movie with great songs that will make you laugh and cry. - I don't know how to write a review that does this movie justice. I would say that it's a fun comedy with a little romance in it, with some really fantastic songs, but it also made me cry in a couple of places. This movie follows the typical format of the exceptional student/teacher who arrives in schools and challenges the status quo. But unlike all the Hollywood movies, 3 Idiots does this with heart, humor, and soul. Unlike most Bollywood movies that I've seen, this movie starts off right away. It is a bit choppy at first, just throwing characters and conflict at the viewer with no explanation, but once the story begins to unfold (through a series of flashbacks) we find ourselves entranced by Aamir Khan's 'Rancho' and his 2 friends. Kareena Kapoor plays her usual charming character, which never seems to get old. The rest of the cast is fantastic and there are plenty of old familiar names to go along with new interesting actors. Note: All of the inventions shown in the film are actual things that have been invented in India within the last 20 years. How cool is that?! I watched this movie twice in a week, once again the following week, and then again with my teenage son. After that, I decided that I had to own it. That's how good this movie is. Watch it. You can thank me later.

On my Top 10 Best list for LIFE!!
Quite possibly my favorite film of everything I've seen in 2012, this three-hour ride is a road trip/buddy picture, comedy, drama, Bollywood musical, and romance all rolled into one hell of a great film. Starting off in modern day, a pair of friends reunited before taking off on a trek to find their close friend Rancho, the fellow student they knew back in engineering school who changed both their lives forever ... and disappeared almost immediately after graduating. Thinking they have a line on him, they instead come across another of their fellow students from back in the day - this time not a friend, but a guy who wants to get back at Rancho and the boys for the way he was treated back in their school days. Via flashbacks (the bulk of the film) showing how the friends met and became close, to their days at the engineering school and the supreme pressure they and their peers were put under, to typical college-style pranks and the first times of falling in love, this film has everything; you'll laugh out loud, shed more than a few tears ... but more than anything else, in the end really feel like you were on a journey, and really got to know and care for these characters as though they were friends of your own. A stellar film, worth not only seeing but owning. Brilliant.

Although I'm not familiar with movies from India, this movie was absolutly amazing. My family and I laughed so hard at this movie. Got to love the performances. Aside from the comedy, it also desplays a very deep theme about school in general. The pressure and the importance of authentic education was a very provoking theme. Overall, I loved the theme it desplayed, the comedy, and the actor's performance. I'm proud to say that Three Idiots was my first Indian movie.

My #1 indie movie
I will always love this movie because of the way it shows the toll your mental health takes and suicide. This is one of aamir Kahn’s best movies and it has helped me find ways to calm down by telling myself all is well all is well over and over! This follows the story of raju, fernan, and silencer on the quest to find their friend that left them after college. The hilarious trip has all kinds of great music and comedy and best of all it’s family friendly so even kids of all ages can watch this movie! I will always recommend this movie to everyone!

Another great movie from Amir. He has proved that he is a great genius with his movie 'Three Idiots'. The movie make fun of the prevailing educational system in our country. which gives importance to rot learning stifling creativity and imagination. He also ridicule the obsession with costly things. He rightly points out that if the watch that costs one crore Indian rupees and the one that costs just hundred rupees show same time.why should one go after such costly things? He exposes our snobbery very well.
