Fiddly, but brilliant!
These won't be for everyone, if your nails are particularly thick or extremely curled, you probably need to go and get that procedure done, however if you're are around average and not on the extreme side, these could be really helpful! I've suffered over a year with an extremely painful, manky, swollen toe. Tried Epsom salt foot soaks, tried cutting the nail down one side and then smoothing it with that special tool you saw on YouTube, tried magnesium paste bandages, various antiseptic creams, ibuprofen, you name it, I've tried it. The doctor gave me some antibiotic ointment (oral tablets a few months before too which did nothing) and I ordered these. I believe the combination of these 2 are what finally fixed my toe and I can't believe it. Again these won't be for everyone, also they are fiddly to get on, but take your time, use a bright light and also let your nail grown out several mm first, start at the top and slowly bring it down. I believe one comment said theirs was broken was actually the middle part which is only secured with a magnet, the rest however is solid and perhaps they didn't realise it was a magnet as they're not the strongest. If your fingers can't do fiddly stuff, I still recommend and get somebody else to help you put it on. Gently crank it up bit by bit over an hour period. I've only done mine one a day for a few days and my pain is virtually gone. I will continue for the next week though. I don't bother doing a foot soak first, I just wash my foot and toe really well, put on the antibiotic ointment and then stick this on and then lay on my bed scrolling for an hour, cranking it up a little more every so often. You don't want to go too hard too fast, but you will feel when you need to stop and then it will crank a bit more 10 or 15 minutes later. Can't recommend enough!! So glad not to have to do another winter in open toe sandles.

Worked for me
Quite easy to fix on big toenail, I tightened it now and then and just after one night it feels a lot better

If only
If only I could use them then I may have given a higher rating. very difficult to use. well made and good value if you know how to use them. Sorry

Absolutely useless
Followed the instructions to the letter but the 'hooks' (if you can call them that) are simply too small to hook on to human toenails. My nails were curved in quite a bit on one side, almost C-shaped and it was a serious struggle to even attach the hooks in the first place, especially to the side that was curved under and then they would simply fall off. The 'hooks' are little more than indentations at the end of the arms. If they were just a couple of millimetres longer then they would probably work. In the end I went to a stationers and bought some small bulldog clips for £2. After soaking my nails in the bath to soften them, I slid one of the clips on to my nail from the least curved side (I allowed my nails to grow out nice and long to make this easier) and then slowly edged it towards the other side. Due to the width and rigidity of the clip, this straightens the nail as you move it closer to the ingrown part. I wore it for a couple of hours while I watched TV and then took it off. Hey presto! No more ingrown toe nail. I thought it would take at least two or three applications, but it only needed one. If your nails are C-shaped like mine were and you can grow them out to about 3mm to give the clips something to clip onto, try the bulldog clip method before wasting money on anything else.

Really works
I really wish I’d taken a ‘ before’ photo. My nails were very rounded and didn’t make contact with the skin underneath the nail in the middle of the toe very well, just at the side. After just one use they massively improved the contour of the nail. I soaked my foot, put the tool on, soaked again and tightened every 15 minutes or so and after three uses I’m very happy how they are straightening out. I think there’s a few misunderstandings about them: There are two tools. Each tool can be two sizes (you reverse the ‘ head’ choosing either the bigger or smaller size depending upon your nail size) The middle head is loose and is held in place magnetically so a few people seem to think it’s broken. It’s not supposed to screw in tightly. Loop the hooks on the sides of the nail keeping the head loose then tighten the nut down holding both the hooks and head in place whilst you do so with the other hand (actually much easier than it sounds). The photo is after just one use and is a massive improvement.

Not easy to use.
It could just be me. I struggled to get it in place (big toe nail). Thought I had it secure and tight as I could make it. Went to put my foot back in the foot bath...fell off! Frustrating.

mi ha salvato da un intervento chirurgico all'unghia del piede. è un ottimo prodotto. non dovresti tagliarti l'unghia altrimenti è difficile da usare.

What a LIFESAVER & PAIN Reliever ! This crazy little tool actually saved me from a badly ingrown toenail - my right big toe ! I was about to go to a private ER - probably pay $100-300 and get a local shot for pain. Then I spied this goofy yet effective "Toe Nail Lifter" - and realized that on my nails curled downwards inboard edge, it "could maybe" lift it far enough from the deep grove in my toes skin into which it was growing & causing intense occasional pain. Here's the protocol I followed: 2 Advil to ease pain 12 % Hydrogen Peroxide on the area which was getting slightly infected. Bubbling hot footbath with 1/4 cup ea of Epsom salt / baking soda for 1 hour straight. This is VERY important to fully soften nail & nailed. I had magnifying glasses & bright headlamp to see perfectly. It was a bit tricky to get the 2 side hooks under the opposing nail edges & the "foot" that pushes on nail for force to lift edges. It was a tad painful to do but really nothing compared to the hours of pain & hobbling about from side nail. Once the jagged protruding edge corner was cut, INSTANT RELIEF ! My error that caused this was getting lazy & cutting incompletely allowing a sharp corner to develop which cut into my skin. The solution is to cut nail flat & even straight across. HALLELUJAH - I walk a lot - 6000 steps daily plus ride my bike 80-100 miles weekly so this was taking it's toll on my pain tolerance. My dear late wife would do this but now I'm a "Solo Act" and my methods must adapt. Thanks for offering this crazy little tool I never knew I needed !
