Guam Adventure & Dive Guide Franko Maps Waterproof Map

This map is great! It's clear enough to read locations on Guam, as well as compact enough to take along on day hikes. It's laminated (read: waterproof!) for a bit of wear and tear...go on, throw it in your backpack! I learned a lot from this bit of cartology. Guam's tagline is: "Where America's day begins." It also included maps of Micronesia, the Yap Islands, the Palau Islands, the Pohnpei Islands, Majuro & Arno Atolls, the Truk (Chuuk) Islands, Rota, Saipan, Tinian. (Some of these I had no idea existed!) Activities listed include: water sports like scuba and snorkeling, fishing and boating; land sports like golfing, hiking, and shopping. Hotels are listed. Historical sites are posted. Cultural gems are mentioned. The Government Tourism Agency info, a geographical profile, and contact info of foreign consulates is also found on this map. If you are going to Guam, you need to get this map.

This was a great map and guide, all in one. It was very helpful during my 2 week stay in Guam. The paper is reinforced with a plastic coating, so it did not rip. However, when insect repellant got on it, the ink smudged. Keep the map away from insect repellant! The fish displayed on the map was very handy and we saw many of them while snorkeling there. This is the best guide I believe that is currently available for sale.

My 85 yr old Dad asked me to find him a map of Guam "on the internet" and print it out and send it to him. Dad was a WWII submariner stationed in Guam, and he has very fond (but out of date) memories of the island. He had heard how much the island had changed, lots of roads, etc, and he just could NOT envision it. Well, I hunted all over the internet but nothing had much detail, nor was it going to do much for him printed out. Finally I thought to hit Amazon and voila, found this map. Dad was thrilled with it: roads, hotels, the sights - on GUAM!?! Amazing! Well, it was to him, 60 yrs later. I can't wait to look at it with him on my next visit, and hear the stories to go with it.

This Guam map and guide is very thorough. We referred to it all the time while sightseeing around the island. It is made of a durable material too.

Map is really well made with water proof material. Contain locations that are popular to visit in Guam. Great to have when your traveling around the island in Guam.

Love this map, it's glossy with lots of colors. Things are marked well and are large enough to read. Also, it's made so that it will not tear and rip like other maps. Highly recommend it.

Bought this for future travel use. Good map and gave me ideas of where I want to venture on the Island.
