Great Cooktop Overall
This induction cooktop heats quickly, cooks evenly, and is very easy to use. The controls are intuitive, and it feels well-built and reliable for everyday cooking. It’s also easy to clean, which is a big plus. The only downside is that it can be a bit noisy at times, especially when running at higher power levels. Other than that, it performs excellently and I’m very happy with the purchase. It came in clutch during my kitchen remodel.

Must have in the kitchen
Absolutely serves the purpose . I could not be happier . Great features and adjustments on the temp settings . Quickly boils water for tea . I have used induction compatible pressure cooker with it and cooks rice and lentils well . Easy to use and compact to store away in the cabinet . I highly recommend it .

Great value and excellent cooking for a 120v Countertop cooking surface
I bought this to try out induction. I seriously disliked my ceramic top electric stove and was looking to replace it with a high end gas range with an upcoming kitchen renovation. However, the amount of "waste heat" you get in a kitchen from gas always bugged me and I've seen more and more positive things about induction. So, I bought this unit to see what I thought about it before making my final decision on what my new kitchen range would be (Gas or Induction) My wife and I tried it out for about a month and it was so much better than the old electric cook top that we pretty much used this exclusively unless we absolutely had to have two or more burners going at once. Cooking with induction is just as responsive as gas (turn down the heat, it goes down immediately, crank it up, it cranks immediately) and this cook top even plugged in to a wall outlet (just a 120v circuit) boiled a whole pot of water in under 1/2 to 1/3 the time that the standard electric stove did. Yes, we had several good pots and pans that were not induction compatible - we knew that going in but we were so happy with this burner that we decided we could commit to full induction. Ended up buying a Frigidaire Induction range and are very happy with it. However, that's not the end of the tale here - we still find this cook top to be useful - we had a bunch of friends over for a dinner get together the other week and used this as a convenient "fifth burner" and then switched it over to being a warmer The temperature specific control is a feature even our full induction range doesn't have (the ability to set this unit to a specific temperature instead of just 1 to 10) .. it's really really useful for holding /warming a dish of food for serving thought the night at a safe temp but not burning it. The unit stays pretty cool to the touch and we're about to switch back to using it for daily cooking while the aforementioned kitchen renovation takes place (we liked Induction cooking so much that we bought the new stove before hand since we could buy and swap out the stove right away without waiting for the renovation to run a gas line. So, this is as much a review of induction cooking as this burner but .. if you're looking for a decent countertop burner, this is way better than a classic electric model and the induction cooking is powerful enough for daily cooking. The unit is easy enough to keep clean and we can stow it away in a cupboard when not in use. It's great for an extra burner when your stove is extra full (like managing holiday cooking etc) and it serves very well as a chafing/warming burner due to the temp setting.

Compare All You Want, This One Has the Features and Price
Was looking for an induction hot plate to use on my balcony. I live in high rise building doesn't allow barbecues on the balconies, but the rules don't say anything about cooking outside; just no open flames. A way around this is to use an induction hot plate that can get really high temps and a hardy cast iron skillet. As you may see in reviews of other products, some hotplates turn themselves off due to excessive heat. We are searing on high heat steaks. Have not had issue with the unit turning off. We have a high end Samsung induction cooktop and know what to expect from induction. This hotplate performs. Plus, it's a breeze to clean. Top is totally flat surface so some cleaner/degreaser and a few wips and this guy is ready to go back into the box. Speaking of the box, I wish there was a handle on the end of the unit. We put this back in the box after each use. We do not leave outside. It would be so much easier to take out of the box. One hint that I learned about induction cooktops when using cast iron, place a piece of parchment paper under the cast iron. That saves your cooktop from scratching. Also, if you want to shake your pan around, any type of pan, use the parchment paper. My first induction range, I didn't know this tip and our cooktop really got scratched. The paper will turn brown but won't burn. Remember, the cook top is not creating heat; the pan is. A tip when using this hot plate especially if using cast iron. Remove the cooking utensil from the hot plate after cooking. The hot plate has cooling fans that run until the unit reaches a temp that can be touched. Leaving a cooking pan, especially cast iron, requires that the fans run for a long period of time. Or if you unplug the device before it has fully cooled you are causing potential damage to the unit. Overall, this is a very good product, at very reasonable price. It's attractive, well made, quality material, and works as expected.

If you are in a dorm or oven without a hotplate, BUY THIS
I am absolutely blown away by the performance of this tiny, fairly cheap burner. I live in a small dorm at my university without a meal plan, and have zero way of cooking food without going down to the communal kitchen; however, due to my allergies, I am largely unable to utilize its appliances as the risk of cross-contamination is far too high for my liking. So, in an effort to find a way that I could cook both safely and privately, I decided to order this little cooktop in hopes that it would do the job. Safe to say, I was blown away by its performance. There isn't much else to say other than it functions like a regular, full-size burner on an oven. The heat level is decent, but it can overheat when first turning it on, and it works even when plugged into a power strip. If I could, I'd give it a 4.5, but it's done too much for me on late, hungry nights for me to settle for anything less than a 5.

This Duxtop Portable Induction Cooktop is the perfect cooktop for a suite for a student to use for cooking. In addition to a microwave, this is perfect for a student in the studio suite we provide for students. It heats up quickly, is easy to operate, is safe to use and the student likes to use it. Plus it wipes clean and is convenient to store as it is light and thin. Just be sure to plug it in on its own. I like that it beeps when you when you plug it in so you know that it works - ie) that the socket works!

This is my first induction cooktop, so I have no prior experience to compare it to for my review. It works fine and looks beautiful. I have two issues with this induction cooktop, which might not be specific to this model. The first one is the fan noise, and the second one is the pan noise. The noise from the fan can be annoying, especially since I use it for hot pot and Korean BBQ, which requires sitting very close to it. The pan noise is not bothersome, but it is there and sounds as though the pan is cracking or ringing. I hope I get used to it pretty soon.

Cooked for my family of 6 when I was doing my kitchen renovation. My only regret is that I didn't buy 2 so that I could cook more than one thing at a time. Used it solely (several times a day) for 3 months. Works better with cast iron heavy pots as it heats up faster and holds its heat longer. I have cooked on gas my whole life (and still do) and I was very impressed with how quick this heat up my pans. The product is small, versatile and portable. It had various temp settings for what I was cooking. The timer was a great feature as I could walk away and it would shut off on it's own. I took care of the glass surface and have no scratches. I have stored it back in the box for when I will travel again.

Great product but they don’t tell you you can only use stainless steel or glass on top of these glass counter stove top. Nobody told any of my family members their stove top are glass and they’re completely wrecked and ruined. It look horrible. Before I purchase my stove, I googled how to take care of it and what to use. Use the other one for my kids cause there’s no way they’re going to cook anything on my stove. They can use the oven but not my stove top. This item is very nice it heats to the size of the pots and pans I love it.
