Let's Celebrate!: Special Days Around the World (World of Celebrations)

Good book. Gives information about a holiday on one page. I like that there are multiple ways to read it. You can read all the details or just read the basic words of the page. I also like that if there is a hard to pronounce word, it tells you how to pronounce it. If you are looking for a very detailed information on each holiday, this would not be the book. It gives a very brief overview of the holidays and you would have to get a specific book if you wanted to know more about a certain holiday.

I am an elementary school counselor and in December I did a classroom lesson for k-2 students on different holidays with the lesson being centered on learning about others, and being respectful about our differences. Our school district has around 30 different home languages so we are very diverse. The illustrations are beautiful and the pages are too word heavy for the littles and if they are interested you can expand on the holidays with the info pages in the back.

We love this book! We bought this for out 4 year old son to help him learn more about other cultures and celebrations around the world and it does just that! We love the poem-like structure with the extra facts and deeper dive at the back of the book!

Cute book about a variety of holidays, pronunciations are included which is very appreciated. Overall very excited to add this to our growing home library.

The book was sent to a gathering of four families that have a dozen children among them. There's something in the book for everyone.

Nice book for my grandsons. It is perfect for their attention span and covers many countries. Beautiful art work. I like the more detailed information in the back of the book for the adults to read.

I was expecting so much more. The illustrations are lovely but each festival has a couple of rhyming lines with no explanation, it would be very difficult for a child (or adult!) with no knowledge of the festival to know what was going on. There are brief descriptions at the back but I was expecting things like recipes, play idea and things to make.

I work in a Kindergarten class and I’ve read this story multiple times over the past year to share how different holidays are celebrated around the world. The text is informative and easy to understand and the pictures are delightful- the children love this book! The price was reasonable and I enjoy sharing it with my class. I definitely recommend reading it!

Bought it to read about Diwali, but I love to teach about other cultures so I'm excited to share with the kids

Purchased as a homeschool learning tool and it worked out great. Love the rhyming and its beautiful illustrations. I also very much liked the end of the book has an overview of the different holidays helping to add more understand to each celebration.

Fun book to show kids about celebrations around the world. It's colourful and engaging. Recommended.
