Broke first time I used it, cheap rubbish
I bought this a while ago but only just got round to trying it out to sew a hem that had started to unravel. First time I tried it, something made a pinging noise inside and the metal arm that holds the fabric down was just flapping around, meaning the fabric wasn’t automatically pulled through, rendering it useless. Considering I couldn’t now send this back for a refund, I took it apart and there was a spring that had come loose, well, it had slipping off the tiny metal notch, so after taking the cogs apart to get to it, I managed to secure the spring again. Put back together and it did sort of work but, to be honest, it’s not easy to keep the stitching straight. OK for short lengths of stitching I guess. What did strike me when I opened it up was how poor it was made and designed inside. I fully expect the spring to ping off again as there’s not much for it to grasp onto. And the metal arm rested on the exposed wire of the motor - luckily only the red wire was touching the metal, the yellow wire wasn’t, otherwise it could give you a shock! The yellow wire was fed through the cogs so I imagine that will wear away the insulation over time. All in all, very poor quality. Appreciate it was cheap, but don’t waste your money on this rubbish, buy something better

Only works on thin material
It works great on thin material, and it has to be very thin tried to use it on curtains that weren't that thick and needle pushes up so doesn't work. Ok for the money

Handy Gadget
Says on the discription 2 extra needles only 1 in the box, otherwise would have given 5 stars.

Don't bother
Waiste of money I would advise anyone thinking of purchasing this to not bother. It uses a lot of thread even if you fasten off tightly the stitch on the seams is very loose you could pull it apart. That's actually when it works half the time it breaks the thread skipping stitches and continues on so you might miss it and only realise once it has started to unravel which it does very quickly. Dont bother with this product. Its quicker to use your hand stitch.
