I'm absolutely thrilled with the Xtreme Big Fella 3.0mm Pellets for my cichlids! The fish go crazy for them, and I've noticed a significant improvement in their color and vitality. The pellets are the perfect size, and they're easy to digest. My tank's water quality has remained stable, and the pellets don't cloud the water like some other foods I've tried. Highly recommend these pellets for any cichlid enthusiast!

All my cichlids love this formula. The only complaint I have seen from others is that the 3mm size is too small for "Big Fellas". I suggest buyers read the details of this product where it clearly states that it is 3mm, and buyers should judge in advance whether this is the size pellet they are looking for.

There's no full ingredient on Amazon at the time of writing, so here's a picture of it. Yes, my variety of African cichlids gobble it up and Xtreme brand has a great reputation of quality. The shape is shockingly uniform and doesn't disintegrate quickly when it gets wet. The downside is that it contains Rice, Wheat, and Soy. For years, I've used only the grain-free food options, mostly from Your Fish Stuff. I've grown fish from fry, and maintained healthy adults off those foods. However, I thought getting something else in their diet with added vitamins might be a good idea, and finding grain-free fish food isn't easy. So, I've added some of this Xtreme food as a supplement to my daily regimen. It has many great ingredients, including vitamin supplementation, and good natural ingredients (like squid), that my fish aren't getting elsewhere. If you don't mind feeding your fish some grains, this is great food.

Better than expected

Started out using flakes for my Goldfish and had swim bladder problems. Started using Hakari Excel sinking pellets the fish never looked so good but it was to small and got lost in the rocks real easy.Decided i needed a bigger sinking pellet.Tried the Extreme big fella. Goldfish took straight to it and are growing at a good pace.Inbetween the Extreme and the Hakari i tried Rapashy gel.I dont know what was wrong with that food but i lost 5 fish in less than a year before i realized it was the food.Went back to the Hakari and fish never looked so good.Was real nervous about trying to switch there food again but they love the Extreme food.I will never switch from Extreme Big Fella.

Bought 2 pounds of Ron’s medicated fish food and received it and immediately followed the instructions they provided. I bought it based on the very few 5 reviews that’s was reviewed few years apart. I have followed the instructions to the Tee. 20 days has passed. No improvement AT ALL. Fish died during the process of the 20 days medication. They claim to have a long list of illness it treats. From EXTERNAL TO INTERNAL parasites and sickness. A HUGE claim to make! I have recorded lots of videos of With DAYS AND TIME STMAPS through this 20 days medicated food showing my fishes non improvement and stringy poop indicative of internal parasites still present after 20 days. Cichlids hated Ron’s food! So I thought maybe it was the medication. So I had a spare pack of their food since I bought 2 pounds. I tried feeding Ron’s food without the medication to my other tanks with hold healthy cichlids. They spit it out as though I’ve fed them garbage. At the same point of time, I also bought 5 pound of Xtreme fish food. My cichlids rushed to gobbled their food in lighting speed. The fishes loved Xtreme You may not believe my review. I have nothing to gain for leaving a bad review. I’m giving an HONEST review. Even KAVEMAN AQUATICS claimed that he has used it before and saw no improvements. Believe that guy when he says that. He knows his stuff!

They keep increasing the price

My fish wouldn't eat it even though it is the brand/size I always feed. First time ordering this food from Amazon and packaging was slightly different. Is it the same food??
