Great tracing board. Nice and big, good light selections. Easy to plug in anywhere and lightweight. Cord length could be longer, but it's good enough for a plug in close by with adapter or something into laptop.

This tracing light box works so well. I needed something for my illustrations and got this unit. It is a good price, nice and big, and lights up really well. It feels sturdy, but is light weight enough that you can bring it to any room in the house, no problem.

I was really surprised to see how bright and lightweight it is. I had three separate light boxes that were super bulky and this just allows me to have one size and it can just fit on my desk! It’s really bright. So don’t state directly at the light when you turn it on. This is going to help so much with tracing and letter work. May have to return for another as a spare. :)

Such a great gift. They love this for diamond art and it is great quality

It works great for lightweight watercolor painting paper, but the thicker paper is hard to see through. The light needs to be stronger for those. I'll probably keep it and use it since it's useful for some paper.

I'd been thinking about purchasing an A3 size light pad for some time now for working on diamond paintings. My little A4 size light pad, that I've used for several years, had recently been having so much trouble maintaining a good connection and I wanted something bigger. When this brand come up during Prime Days, I gave the B4 a closer look. Some of the reviews weren't that great, but I really liked the fact that the power cord does NOT directly connect to the light pad. And the size seemed a better fit for me than an A3 size. To make matters even better, there happened to be a "like new" one available through Warehouse Deals for a really good price. It was obvious that it was a return, but certainly appeared to be "like new" so I tried it out. I've been using it off and on for 3 weeks now, and I'm really pleased so far. Pros: - I love the size. It's just perfect for my limited space and just seems so much bigger than my A4. - The power connection is very stable. This is a huge plus for me. Neutral: - It has "step" light adjustment arrows to increase or decrease light intensity to 5 settings. My older one was "stepless", which I prefer, but I've had no trouble adjusting to this one's features. - It's not as bright as my old one. In fact, this one's brightest setting is comparable to my old one's lowest setting. With that said, I rarely adjusted the brightness level up on the old one because it was too bright. After using this one though, I'm finding that the 2nd level brightness actually works well for me (and that's with some pretty dark diamond symbols). It might not work for everyone though, depending on the intended use. - The plastic surface is slightly textured giving it a "frosted" look. My old one was not textured and had a "glossy" look. - I was concerned that the metal border might be an issue, but it has not negatively impacted my use of it at all. - The first time I turned it on, the light appeared to "waver" a bit before glowing steady. I have not noticed that since. - The measurements on two sides appear to be accurate, should I ever need to use them. Con: - Maybe it's the thin "feet" on the back or just the size, but I've noticed that if my work area is in the middle of the light pad and I press down a little too hard on the "diamonds", I detect a slight "give" in the light pad. I've learn to either not press too hard in that area or move the painting canvas a little lower and I don't notice any give. Overall ... I'm really happy with this B4 light pad. I don't know how long it will last (based on some of the other reviews), but so far I'm so glad I purchased this. Thanks to HSK for making this "interim" size available. It's just perfect for my needs.

This is a backlit light pad tracing surface that illuminates the writing surface and allows you to see through your paper (candling) in order for you to trace something. But I use it in a different way; instead, I use it for folding paper airplanes or origami. The pad came with a 4-foot USB cable that you need to plug into the device cable, and I found that the device powers on upon being plugged in. While this limits it’s portability, this also means that it should light up automatically when given power, and so it should work with smart home voice activated devices like smart plugs. There are three buttons that are self explanatory: brightness up, power, and dimming down. I have determined 5 different brightness intensities with the highest setting being decently bright without being blinding. There are centimeters from 0-36 lengthwise and 0-26 centimeters in height. Likewise, there are 0-14 in Inches lengthwise and 0-10 inches in height. The pad itself is a mere half a centimeter thick, which is pretty impressive. After having folded paper airplanes for 15 minutes of use on the highest brightness setting, the device did not get hot. In conclusion, this seems to be a good product that works well for what I need it for. It should also work for it’s intended purpose of ease of painting/drawing/tracing very well. The controls are self intuitive and comes labeled with proper measurements. I do not know how long it will last, or if it will start to dim through constant use. But I am optimistic that it will do just fine for a long time.

This reveiw is for the B4 size. Perfect size I need to make photos of some awkward sized 9x12 inch 35mm contact sheets. Comes with USB cable, protective sleeve, no wall wart. WARNING: Consult the sheet that comes with your device and if you use a wall wart be absolutely certain you are using the correct REGULATED voltage, positive tip. UNregulated wall warts can deliver much more voltage than printed on their label and damage the device. The B4 device uses 5V, the A3 and larger sizes use 12 or 24V (and the sheets says they come with a power supply.) The B4 device does not get warm during use; if it does you may be using the wrong power supply and in danger of blowing it out. Illumination is very uniform. The sheet says the B4 size is 500 LM, that seems a stretch, but it is bright enough to make good copies of transparencies in a dark room, and do tracing. Color temp is neutral and color rendition is fine. Basically this device seems to be a laptop backlight without the laptop. The only weak point is tha there is no strain relief on the power cable where it emerges from the frame. To help with this I have taped the cable to the side of the frame to keep it from dangling back and forth while I use it. I've only had it a couple weeks, I'll edit this review if it has any longevity issues.

Ho acquistato questa tavoletta per mia figlia che frequenta Liceo Artistico del Design. La tecnica di ricopiare le forme e lo stile di un disegno e' usata a scuola con tavolette professionali. Avevamo la necessita' di poter effettuare la stessa tecnica a casa. prima dell'acquisto della tavoletta usavamo la finestra e la luce del sole con grosse difficolta' per ottenere buoni risultati. La tavoletta permette di lavorare sul tavolo con una luminosita costante epotente permettendo di usare anche fogli spessi da disegno. E' presente la regolazione della luminosita' su 4 livelli. E' robusta e materiali discreti , rimanendo leggera e versatile. E' fornita di una piccola e basic custodia con maniglie che permettono il facile trasporto (usata principalmente per il trasporto tra una stanza e l'altra ).

I have had 4 different light pads for my Diamond art. They all had a usb connector to attach to the plug, which constantly went out and needed re setting by wiggling the wires!!! . The connector was a typical phone type connector. 2 of them broke quite quickly and one came broken!! On returning it, I looked for something different and this is it. The others were flimsy around the edges, this is solid and has a measure marker asking the edges. The plug adaptor is different to the others, in that it is already attached to the side, so the plugging in and out isn’t going to break it. The light choices were excellent and it stayed on, where the others would occasionally flicker off. Head and shoulders above the other makes.
