The Bipolar Workbook: Tools for Controlling Your Mood Swings: 9781462520237: Medicine & Health Science Books @ desertcart.com Review: Great Tool! - I am really impressed by this workbook and would suggest it to everyone that has been diagnosed Bipolar or maybe wondering if you have Bipolar. I was diagnosed as a teenager with major depressive disorder, because I mainly had depression symptoms. In 2017, almost ten years later, I was diagnosed with Bipolar I. I have had many ups and downs throughout my life, but my worst depressive episode happened in July of 2019 until January 2021 after I was laid off from my long term job and this caused me to lose my health insurance. The mood stabilizer I was taking was almost $3,000 out of pocket for 30 capsules. I couldn't afford it and had to go off my meds which caused me to spiral out of control. I kept telling myself I was fine, but I wasn't. I was struggling...basically drowning in my own thoughts and depression. I was self harming and was suicidal almost every single day. In January of 2021, I opted into an insurance plan that I pay almost $400/month for, but I realized that I can't afford to go without insurance or my medications. I'll pay whatever I have to to make sure my mental health is better. I've been on medication for over 2 months now, starting to feel like my true self, and I wanted to incorporate this workbook into my daily tasks. It's a really great tool for deciphering what is mania, depression, or just plain normal. I like being able to go back into this workbook to see how much I have progressed. I am by no means cured, but I am on the track to better myself and I can see the light!! To anyone else who is struggling with Bipolar Disorder...hang in there and advocate for yourself, because it's so important! Review: Helpful - Had a lot of good information on how to deal with all this. It's something I keep coming back to, and it helps every time.

This workbook was referred to me by my therapist and it still is a book I go back to and read over when I hit a rough patch

New book with weird black stinky stains on cover??
I got this as a birthday present so i wouldn’t know how helpful it is. But the cover had weird black stinky stains on it. I had to use a Clorox wipe all over it. Weird. 🗣️

A Breakthrough In Treating Bipolar Disorder!
AMAZING BOOK!!!! I suffer constantly from mood swings related to my struggle with bipolar disorder, and it has always been ready difficult to find ways to prevent and soothe those mood swings. This book has been a breakthrough for me. It revolves around coping with mood swings and ways to prevent and treat them! Thank you so much to the creators of this book, because I have made more improvement from this book alone than I have from a lifetime of therapy. This book is a godsend, and I recommend it to anyone struggling with understanding and treating those intense mood swings from bipolar disorder!

Great content
Lots of stuff to analyze and learn. Very well elaborated. Those who say this is just a simple thing professionals use to give therapy, they're looking in the wrong place if they already have that much knowledge. Im starting to learn about my condition and getting into reading material, so this is a startup for me, kind of a challenge because of all the content. Guess ill need to reas it like 3 times slowly. Here i leave you some pages to see how its written and its reading level of difficulty, and the contents of the whole book. Hope this helps you know if its a great buy for you.

Good for newly diagnosed, maybe
I probably wouldn't get this book again. I do like that it has reproducible pages from the Internet, but I don't know how much I'll use them. I've had it for quite a while and just can't get into it. It might be good for someone who has just been diagnosed bipolar. I'll finish it eventually and hopefully get something out of it, but right now I give it a one thumbs up. Plus the size of it is awkward...I wish it were spiral bound.

just get it. It’s worth it.
Okay so this book is thick. Given the fact that I don’t really like to read anyways, it’s taken me awhile to get through it. But it’s worth it. This last year, I have struggled with depression more than ever before. I was diagnosed with bipolar type 2 years ago after a drug overdose and attempted suicide. I never wanted to take meds and never wanted to admit I had it until this year. Ive tried everything from therapy, natural medications, etc. I thought if I cleaned up my diet and exercised more, I’d be better. However, I now know what I have needs medicine and that is OKAY. August was one of the best months I’ve had in a LONG time. And I owe it to two things. My doctor upping my medication, and this book. Not even half way through and I have felt so much relief and empowerment by doing the work in this. My boyfriend has even noticed a big difference and it’s been several weeks now since I’ve had a full on breakdown into depression. It’s helped me realize my strengths before I start to overthink. It’s helped me a lot and only hope it has done the same for others, and will do the same for anyone reading this.
