Came the next day. I had just returned a product that was identical from another company because the battery in the solar panel case wasn’t charging. However, it must have been a one off because this is working. Everything about this one is the same as the one I returned except the cardboard band around the containing box was a different colour. Two companies same product?. However, I cannot remember a large button with the first, below. The reason I went for this other company is because the first company’s price had gone up by £20, and this was £10 cheaper than I originally paid . I didn’t want to pay £20 more because of their fault, so I looked around. To the product. First, plug the battery case / solar panel case into a USB. Charge it for about 4 hours and the LED that was red goes off and a green one next to it goes on. Then, I tested it before anything else. I plugged the screen into the cigarette lighter/socket to see if the battery/camera unit connected to the screen via the WiFi. I think I turned the screen on via the middle button on the side of the screen and pressed the pair button on the screen. It work fine. Then the real test. Mounted the camera unit to the number/licence plate without obscuring the plate, it can be done but, it is tight. The units, screen and camera are about 6.5 metres apart (on a 7.5 m van). The picture is excellent especially for the price and the ease of installation. The camera can be adjusted up and down, as can, I believe, the contrast, though I haven’t needed to. The only fiddling I did was to take the plug/wire out of the solar to reroute it so it didn’t cross over the sticky camera pad. But this was easy enough with the small tool they provided. A button about an inch in diameter comes with it, haven’t used it as I can reach the button on the side of the screen. The clamp sticks to the windscreen. The screen goes off after a little while as I guess they think that you should have done your reversing by then. Press the button, and it instantly comes back on. Easy install. Seems like a great product. Hope it lasts. .

This a great product for anyone is not comfortable with wiring a camera into the reversing light in your vehicle. Simply stick the camera/solar battery onto your number plate, plug the display unit into the 12v (cigarette lighter) socket on your dashboard, press the "pair" button and installation is complete. When you need to reverse just push a (wireless) button that comes with the camera that can be stuck anywhere on the dash and the camera comes on. I bought mine in June 2021 for my van and it worked successfully all through the winter (so must be good battery/solar unit) but the in March the display stopped pairing with the camera. I emailed Amazon who in turn put me in touch with the supplier Boscam. After I briefly explained the issue the company without any fuss sent me a replacement camera/battery unit which arrived in two days and resolved the problem. I must say I really missed not having the camera the couple of days if ws off as I had gotten very used to having it. Would definitely recommend if you are not technical and just want a quick easy installed reversing camera. Very happy overall.

This product was purchased as a reversing aid as I have reduced mobility to look over shoulder while reversing. With the camera being solar powered makes the installation straight forward as power isn't required from the car electrical system. The camera and screen is clear and gives a good view angle but a look over shoulder is still needed just for peace of mind. I did have a problem with the camera after a few weeks because the camera battery wouldn't charge. The help from customer service was excellent. After a couple of checks to verify the problem, the camera was replaced within 2 days. The performance of the camera and the support when I had a problem meant that I've brought a second unit without any worries.

After watching the video about how easy it was to install, I thought I can do that. I did purchase a larger number plate as I could not remove my old one too well stuck on. It was really easy to install. I received an email inviting me to extend my warranty to 18months free of charge which I did. The picture has been excellent and has helped when reversing to hook up my caravan or just in general parking. The prices I was being quoted for fully fitted reversing cameras was so extreme. Also there is the issue if anything happens with your electrics in your vehicle after. This unit gives you great quality and no issue with your own electrics. Then unfortunately my camera stopped working. I sent an email to Joanne ( who had emailed me my warranty) at Customer Service at Auto-Vox asking if there was anything else I could do and a very helpful email was received back. Unfortunately that did not resolve my issue and Joanne had no hesitation in sending me out a new solar panel camera unit. The customer service was second to none, I was really impressed as this unit was not £1000s of pounds, but I was treated so professionally. I have to say my experience with this company is the service I would now expect from other companies. I cannot rate this company and the unit highly enough.

I was looking forward to this turning up, but beyond actually installing it which was easy and straightforward actually getting it to work took ages. The menu is hopeless, and there was hours of fiddling with it including changing the remote battery which was totally dead, even with new battery the remote still doesn’t work or do anything. Forget the easy fit in 5 minutes, When after hours of fiddling i did get a picture on the screen it was iffy not even clear , washed out, black and white. Next day got in the car and the monitor has fallen off the windscreen and was on the floor. Overall the monitor is very poor manufacturing plastic quality, the picture is even worse and the red to green guide lines are up in the air even with the camera adjusted the guide lines are still off the ground. Overall in theory and fantasy great idea if only in reality it worked. I wish now I had just bought a wired one from Halfords and paid the extra £75 for them to fit it.

J’avais eu un problème après quelques mois sur l’ancienne version, le service après-vente m’a contacté suite à mon ancien commentaire et me l’a remplacé par le nouveau modèle, certe la version sans le panneau solaire donc obligé de la recharger, mais la batterie tiens vraiment longtemps (pas encore rechargé depuis juillet ! En bref, je recommande cette camera que j’ai installé sur mon van aménagé fiat ducato. Merci pour ce service exemplaire !

Solarmodul an der Unterseite an USB Buchse anstecken und vollständig laden. (Leuchtet grün wenn sie voll ist) 2. Kennzeichen abnehmen und Halterung vom Fahrzeug montierten. Gegebenenfalls reinigen. 3. Display mit dem „Saugnapf“ an geeigneter Stelle im Fahrzeug anbringen sodass keine Sichtbehinderung entsteht und eine gute Sicht auf den Bildschirm möglich ist. Push-Knopf an bevorzugter Stelle (z.B. in der Nähe des Ganghebels) aufkleben. 4. Wenn das Solarmodul grün leuchtet und somit voll geladen ist, die Kamera und das Modul an der Kennzeichen Halterung anbringen. Dazu empfehle ich als erstes die gewünschte Position zu eruieren und dann erst die Klebepads anzuziehen 5. Einschalten der Kamera. Dazu einfach den kleinen schwarzen Knopf drücken, welcher sich neben der USB Buchse unter der Schutzabdeckung befindet. 6. Halterung wieder am Fahrzeug montieren. 7. Bildschirm mit dem 12v Ladekabel verbinden und in den Zigarettenanzünder stecken. Zündung einschalten (Gerät startet automatisch) 8. Winkel der Kamera am Bildschirm anschauen und wenn nötig Justierungen hinten an der Kamera durchführen. Erst dann seitlich die Position der Kamera mit einem kleinen Schraubenzieher festlegen 9. Einstellen der Hilfslinien und der Einschaltdauer direkt am Bildschirm. Dort kann auch u.a. die Helligkeit eingestellt werden. Wann und wir startet die Kamera nun? - Die Kamera startet jedes Mal sobald Strom am Gerät ist für die eingestellte Dauer. (Z.B. Wenn die Zündung eingeschaltet wird) oder manuell wenn der mitgelieferte Push Knopf gedrückt wird. Meine Erfahrungen damit: + Leicht zu installierendes System welche keine Verkabelung benötigt + Die Kamera funktioniert bis dato einwandfrei und hat keine merkbare Verzögerung + Kundenservice reagiert prompt und ist absolut professionell und zuvorkommend o Das Display könnte etwas größer sein. In diesem Falle rate ich zum Produkt von AUTO-VOX (selbes System) mit 5 Zoll Display. Das haben wir in unserem VW Bus im Einsatz und sind sich sehr zufrieden o Auflösung des Display natürlich nicht in HD aber in guter Qualität o Teilweise passt das Solarmodul nicht auf alle Kennzeichenhalterungen ( z.B. wie bei meinen Österreichischen Halterungen) und diese müssen dann etwas adaptiert werden. Der Kundenservice ist aber schon in Kenntnis und sehr bemüht das Problem zu lösen. o Gerade bei machen Pick-Ups wie bei meinem Amarok ist sehr wenig Platz nach oben und unten. Somit kann ich das Solarmodul nicht via USB aufladen sollte der Akku mal leer sein. Sprich ich muss alles wieder abschrauben. Dauert halt 2 Minuten. Ist aber auch kein Thema wenn man das weiß. Wir haben die 5 Zoll und die 4,3 Zoll Variante bei unseren beiden Autos angebracht und im Einsatz. Bis dato sind wir sehr zufrieden. Die Fotos stammen alle von mir. Die Kamera bzw das Display hat deshalb eine etwas eigenartige Farbe weil ich gerade auf der Bremse stand und das Bremslicht unser Carport aufleuchtetet. Klar Kaufempfehlung!!!

Funziona benissimo, mai saltata l'immagine dopo mesi di utilizzo. L'installazione è banale, si monta in 10 minuti senza esperienza. La utilizzo sul mio camper, mi trovo benissimo. Comodissimo anche il pulsante remoto da posizionare dove ti è più comodo all'interno del veicolo per accendere la retrocamera. Veramente ottima intuizione inserire un pannello solare e una batteria per alimentare la telecamera. Se ci saranno aggiornamenti negativi in fatto di durata batteria o del pannello, lo recensirò.
