The Equalizer (1) (Cal Sheehan Mystery) Paperback – June 1, 2014

Midge Bubany has created some very engaging and intriguing characters in this book, the first in a series, and the story was a real page turner. I enjoyed the local flavor as the story takes place in my own state of Minnesota and I quickly bought the sequel "Silver's Bones" and dug into that one too. My only complaint are the numerous typos. I wish her editor had used a little more attention to detail, but it didn't detract from the compelling story.

Introduction of the characters was well thought out. Maybe a few too many characters, but that lead to the suspense of "who done it". We are lead to one suspect than another, than another until the very end which leaves us shocked. Definitely a page turner.
