Fantastic purchase! Works absolutely as described
Fantastic purchase! Works absolutely as described. Setup was easy (just make sure your phone is Jabra compatible and has a separate headset jack). I have a Polycom VVX phone and a Macbook Pro and this headset work's perfectly with both. The only thing it will not do is answer a call from the headset. If you need to be able to answer a call from the headset you will need to buy the Jabra accessory for that. Here is what you need, Jabra 14201-17 EHS adapter. It cost $40 and is worth every penny. Now I can walk around the home/office and when I hear the phone ring I can answer the call by just touching the answer button on the headset. There might be different adapters for each phone model so check with Jabra prior to purchasing the adapter.

Awful Sound Quality
I despise leaving 1 star reviews however, I am absolutely depleted of options. I ordered these headphones for office use and am totally disappointed. The physical and professional appearance persuaded my decision to purchase. If you are seeking great sound quality and/or the ability to hear music "these aren't those", try a different pair within the Jabra brand.

Works but frustrating
Works well but has a lot of shortcomings. You have to plug into a phone to pick up and hang up. Had to crazy glue the mic boom back together as it cracked up by the swivel. Docking/charging is an absolute nightmare with no guide to drop it in and align with the charging pins. Muting function on the headset is an "isn't that cool, pity it is useless" feature. I expected MUCH MUCH more from Jabra and for the price paid.

Great headset. Very reliable
Love these. I bought several of those headsets for my customer Service department. I have those for several month now and no issues. You can walk to the other side of the building and still answer calls. Jabra was always my business go to headset. Just buy the right cable for your phone. My rep ordered me the wrong connector. Worked but had issues and I had to call Jabra support to get the right cable. Jabra support was fantastic.

Very good experience overall so far!
I bought this product because the group that I sit with uses them and so there are literally dozens of daily users around me that could provide me real-world evaluation. I also knew that it would work with our phone system. It was available in a dual on-the-ear headset version, which I much prefer to any in-ear or anything that hangs on my ear. Finally, I have had other Jabra products in the past and have been pleased with their performance. INSTALLATION: Basically painless. The Quick-Start booklet that came with the product gave me enough information to do the job (I am technical and have installed and used various headsets, wired and wireless, over the years). There are stickers all over the product that say "Please use the SETUP WIZARD" and point you to a URL, but for me, that turned out to be just a rather confusing online form of documentation that didn't really help me much. The product came with all cables I needed to hook it to both my desk phone and softphone and gave me all functions except the ability to bring the phone off-hook (pick up) and on-hook (hang up) remotely (from the Jabra headset). To get this additional function, I had to order the optional EHS (Electronic Hand Set) adapter. This is understandably an extra-cost option because it is very specific to your brand and model of desk phone. VOICE QUALITY AND RANGE: Quality is very good, both hearing and talking. Range is surprisingly good - I can get at least 150' from my office, including behind walls, before I notice any degradation (a typical cubicled office environment with metal furniture and metal-studded walls). That allows me to get to the kitchenettes at both ends of my area, plus the restrooms :-) I have had no need to wander any further. The radio technology is DECT 6.0 which operates in the 1.92-1.93 GHz band, so (in the US anyway) it doesn't share spectrum or interfere with other common services like Wi-Fi, cell phones, or Bluetooth. There are no external antennas on either the base or headset. GRIPES: The main gripe I have is one that others have also complained about - the "double-tap" function to mute/un-mute the microphone on the headset just does not work well. Even others in my group, who use these things every day, tell me that they can only reliably get it to work maybe 50% of the time. Many of them have given up and only mute the mic from the base (fortunately there is a "mute" button on the base). Also, banging on the side of your headset to mute makes a loud noise in your head, which makes you lose a couple words in the conversation and also disrupts the other attendees who hear it through your microphone. That's especially true if it doesn't work the first time and you have to try it again. Jabra, on the next rev of this model, please put a physical pushbutton on the headset for this important function! The touch-sensitive slide volume control is also a little gronky, but it does work with some practice. UPDATE: After using this for a couple months, I am still pleased and impressed with it. I am also going to buy one for home, so when I'm working from home I don't have to be tied to my computer with a cord.

Disappointed!
First one I received was "bricked" right after plugging it in. You'd think with so few buttons it would be easy to use, but apparently it can get itself into a "mute" mode without doing anything. LED's display in various colors to indicate status, but I'll need to keep the book out to lookup different meanings. The sound is acceptable for voice-calls, but I was hoping to use this to listen to music from my PC when not on the phone. I'm not too picky about sound quality, even mono sound is fine for what I'm looking for but the audio quality is horrible for any kind of music - if I had to guess the wireless technology between the base and headset is limited in bandwidth and so the quality is degraded significantly. I expected more from Jabra

Don't waste the money!
I bought this item based on research and reviews however, once I started to use the headset it was awful. I could hear myself talk the entire time and could not even focus on what i was saying. Also, the "high quality" noise canceling doesn't actually work, it picked up every bit of background noise and i could hear myself breathing and so could the person on the other line. I bought this headset to work from home with a call center and mistakes like that can not be made and could have cost me my job. I would not recommend this product to anybody. Don't think that since it is expensive that it is good. It looks nice and feels nice but as far as sound, microphone, and noise canceling quality goes it is absolutely horrible. You can spend $50 less and get a plantonics which is much better quality.

This hasn’t worked well since I purchased it. It certainly has excellent range, but the sound quality is not that great.
