Kreem Products Fuel Tank Liner and Tank Prep Combo Paks for 5 Gallon Tanks 1215

I restored and lined a 50 year old OMC boat gas tank and so far so good, used the tank with an outboard no issues. Took a lot of work and patience but the result is no rust in my fuel. Good product, have used it before for Harley gas tanks.

Directions are "fairly" clear. Your 2nd kit will go great once you know what to look for. Kit should cost $20 more and come with the mask to apply if you have a painted tank. Step 1. You dump in etch. Leave it over night. Then what it doesnt say is spend as much time as you can washing tank out. Step 2 is really strong acetone (by smell) here is the problem. Between 1-2. My tank had an oem coating that was peeling. I spent a whole day grinding it out. Well either step 1 or 2 melted that coating. So it turned to gray slime in the tank. When I added step 3. I could see all that gray garbage floating around in the tank. Up by my filler a huge bubble has already came up and needs to be cut out and replaced. The final coating seems to make a paper thin rock hard coating though. If application went better the product would work perfect for me. I wish I had another to do it again. Like I said your 2nd time using it will give professional results.

I did a long, curved chopper tank. Wasn’t easy. If the white tank liner gets on your paint it will instantly damage your paint job.

I cleaned the tank and applied as instructed. The product did not stay on and plugged my fuel filter. I flushed the tank MANY times and replaced the fuel filter at least four times, eventually I purchased a new tank. I would not recommend this product.
