Amazon Basics Over Ear Wired Gaming Headset for PC and Consoles (Xbox, PS4) with Desktop Mixer - Black

My Corsair Void Pros developed a mic hiss, and then it died. I work in hardware, and am a PC and Xbox Gamer. I NEVER buy headsets over the $50-$60 range as Ive used higher end ones in the past and really dont see the point when there isnt THAT much of a difference in quality! So when I saw that these were in my price range and ONLY saw amazing reviews from people who were sent these for free I decided to take one for the team!!! Im glad I did! These are a GREAT buy for the price! I was blown away by the sound quality even without using the amp/mixer that they came with! Immediately better than the Void Pros for music, hands down. The actual design isn the greatest but these are 100% worth it. I dont care how they look! They are all plastic and dont feel cheap by any means, not to heavy and fit my big ears nice! I have a bald head and they stay secure where I put them unlike every other headset Ive owned!! The mic itself moves up and down, and clicks into place where you want it. Its housed in rubber so you CAN bend it closer or further from your face. The wiring is modular so if it ever shorts it can replaced easily even with a trip to Walmart.! I have 2 myself. So double thumbs up!! The wire from the mixer is standard for ANY android etc...again a ton of those laying around as well!! Having 2 separate jacks one for just a headset, and one for a mic and/or headset with a mic is great as well! The mixer itself is solid and doesnt feet cheaply made. Its entire bottom is rubber to keep it secure on your desk!!!I It does give indicator lighting as to what EQ setting you are on and whether your mic is muted or not! As for the mic quality....My buddy said I sounded 5x better than I did using the Void Pros in Steam chat! Amazon, you guys out did yourselves on this one....The design could be a bit better but I dont even care, for $53 bucks with the mixer make these the best budget headset in the $50-$60 range!

It's a great product, great value. The only issue we experienced: impossible to get replacement parts. We lost a cable and the piece became useless. The cable is 5-pole male to 5-pole male, you can not get it anywhere. We have to throw the whole thing away because of a $3 cable.

I bought these for my 13 year old son for several reasons. He can use these for Zoom calls/classes when he need them. He can use them to watch movies/etc without being distracting to others. He's also able to chat with his family/friends while playing online. We have a PS4 and he's able to plug directly to the PS4 with the USB and volume control 'box', or separate the headset from that and plug it directly into the controller. He often keeps one ear out, he says is so he can pay attention to what's going on around him. So, maybe that means they isolate sound pretty well? His 18 year old brother remarked that they sound great. One con, they both noted they're a little on the heavier side which gets to them after wearing them for a little while. On the pro, the construction seems to be very good. The material quality and build are superb. I would easily recommend these for anyone wanting a headset with function in mind. If I had to buy them again or as a gift for someone, I would not hesitate.

If you are like me and use a headset exclusively then you may have noticed how many headsets now use a very cheap plastic swivel connector for the ear pieces. This is my fourth headset in 5 years. I've only had this set a couple of days but I can tell that this set will fail in exactly the same way. It may be 6 months or 12 months but one day the ear piece is going to snap off in my hand. The sound is good and the mic seems clear but that won't matter when the cheap connector eventually snaps off.

For those wondering, yes the mixer works for ps4 but the volume knob does nothing. It doesn't matter much since the headphones come with a volume knob though. You do have to use a different usb cable though since the one that it comes with is too thick and will not fit the ps4. Sound it good, eq works on ps4, mic is clear but it does pick up some background noise. The mixer can be used to listen to game and chat at the same time while using the second audio out to your pc. Mic mute button works. Just wish the mixer volume was onboard instead of software based.

I returned this product immediately after finishing a two hour Zoom call. The unit was heavy on my head. My ears didn't fit inside the pockets, which made my ears hurt after about 30 minutes. The mute function didn't work on either the inline control or on the box unit. Altogether one of the most disappointing products I've ordered in years. Will try something else.

First off directions tell you that you can't use the mixer with the PS4 but to plug it in to the controller I have found if you plug usb from the mixer to the PS4 directly it works only thing that doesn't work is the the knob on the mixer for volume. Over all it works great, sounds great, and fits great. If anything goes wrong ill post an update but if not a 70$ budget headset with a mixer not a bad deal! and no i am not a robot I bought this product to try out wit gaming.

Had high hopes for this product based off reviews. For the first game I played everything was perfect sound was amazing bass is on point. However second game in and there’s constant choppiness. Unplugged them sound through tv was fine, plug them back in and back to choppy. I restarted the system in hopes maybe it was just a glitch but nope. Haven’t even had them more 5 hours.
