This radio is fantastic. I installed this in my 2012 Road Glide ...
This radio is fantastic. I installed this in my 2012 Road Glide with stock speakers and NO rear speakers, again just the two front standard speakers. I am not a stereo geek, I just want to hear music and I want it loud enough to hear over the bike at hiway speeds. I'm not looking to setup a show bike or be a mobile DJ. ;) The good stuff: Crazy easy to install. The best advice I can give anyone is a little bit of grease along the left and right sides of the rubber gasket makes the installation into the bracket so much easier. The radio has two plugs, the HD multi-pin plug and the antenna. Slide the radio in the bracket, mount with the four bolts used when you removed the old radio, plug the device in and power on. It will probably take you longer to remove the fairing (especially if you have an RG) than it will for you to install the radio. This radio has built in equalizer settings for rock, spoken word and a few others. However if you want to customize you can. The sound from the stock speakers were very good. Again, I'm not a stereo geek. The radio DOES have a clock. The option and settings for the clock are buried down in the menus...but it's there. I really like the fact that the radio is actually the faceplate and can be removed. Once you remove the radio you are left with a 'compartment' that's water proof and perfect for holding your phone or whatever device you use to store your music. Inside the compartment is a USB charging port AND an AUX connection utilizing the standard 3.5 mm cable. This radio gives you the ability to store more FM stations than you will probably ever use, and enough AM stations to satisfy as well. The Bluetooth was crazy easy to connect. Select Bluetooth from the menu, open the Bluetooth settings on your device and select "AV AQ-MP". All my handlebar controls worked like they should and handle bar controls can also be used while in Bluetooth to skip and reverse songs. The bad. I can only see 'bad' things and even these were not enough for me to drop a star. It doesn't have the automatic volume control. I personally don't care about that. There are apps I can download on my phone that will do that for me while I'm listening to music via Bluetooth. The only thing that I feel the company should have done was provide the cover for when you remove the radio. If you remove the radio and it rains, there is nothing to keep the water out of that compartment. You can purchase the cover, but for $299 you would think it would include the cover. There are several other connections in the back of the radio that look easy to hook up, but again I only have the two speakers in the fairing so I just tied those out of the way. Overall, I really like this radio, I like how easy it was to install and use. Bluetooth connection was easy and now I'm good to go down the road jammin' to my tunes.

Direct fit, great sound, worth the money
These player not only is a direct fit for my Harley but it Rocks. The sound is fantastic through the radio, bluetooth, and MP3. Super easy to install, easy to use. It works great. Worth every dollar spent. It doesn't have the auto volume but it does have a clock. It made the Hogtunes speakers I bought sound even better.

The truth plus the answers to many questions. Great product. *2 year update
First off this system is a total upgrade from stock. I installed on a 2009 road glide. Power from the on board amp is much higher than stock. Installation is drop in plug to stock harness replace stock mounting screws. Ok done true answers. This model is the one without color display. 1. Yes I does have a clock. It scrolled through the display and it is there. Many say a clock will show up in your odometer display once you remove factory unit. Well after removal and installation of the aqua unit nothing appeared......well now a week later a clock has mysteriously appeared in the odometer. Not sure what years this happens but it didn't happen immediately. 2. Bluetooth works perfect. It immediately connects to my phone soon as I walk up. Even if I'm using the radio it tells me it's connected. I use it with several audio apps to not only play downloaded music it works great with Amazon music. I can scroll forward and back no problem. I've stood 35 ft away from bike and BT worked fine. Put phone in saddle bag no problem. Phone is a gen 4 Motorola so nothing fancy but connects Everytime . 3. Display is easily readable in the sun. It's a negative LCD so it doesn't washout at all. 4. USB Will charge phone. Did not test to see if it controls phone since Bluetooth works perfectly didn't bother. Also didn't test with Apple products since I don't give a crap about Apple products. 5. There are rear speakers out puts, a 3.5mm input up front a set of RCA inputs on back. I imagine for some GPS input. So there are 2 aux inputs labeled as such in sources menu ,USB and Bluetooth. 6. Controls on bars work flawless. There is no delay or hiccups. They respond as if factory. 7. No noise issues like alternator hum or noise from LED headlights. 8. Washed bike no problems. But again idiots beware don't blast it directly with a hose. 9. Knob also mutes it when pushed 10 radio reception is improved over stock. But remember to check your antenna. Mine was bad so ordered car flexible one with cable attached for fender mount and stuffed it above the radio behind fairing. Ok the stuff that you may miss. Or find different 1. There is no AVC. Automatic Volume Control. I've gotten used to it no being there and honestly for all the other plus who cares I won't miss it. 2. The display light is white and is dimmable but white is annoying and actually distracting since it's in your field of view. Red would be better or at least dimmable to a lower setting. 3. Display has a useless dancing EQ bar graph in the lower 50 percent of screen. I could care less about it. They could have used it for something like permenantly displayed clock rather than cycling it through the display. 4 the face plate can be finicky snapping it on probably due to the large weather seal it compresses against. Once face is removed you got a big hole for water to catch. Unless you order the 30 dollar cover separately. Also cover pops off and some punk can walk off with it. I will recommend this unit to anyone that knows the older factory unit falls short. It's definately the better upgrade than installing an amp to the factory unit. Ok update. I jammed a Cerwin Vega amp in the fairing and upgraded the speakers and all I can say is wow. The units amps is great even if you upgrade just the speakers. But I had the amp sitting around and installed it. Upgraded speakers first and sounded great but idle hands are the devil's playground. So the amp makes it insanely loud and clear. Used low level outputs on unit. Speakers I'm using are JM 7.25 but honestly I may go to Polk 6.5 or other brand. I think JMs are way too expensive. I got them for free so I'm not complaining. I was contemplating bag speakers or lower speakers but honestly I can hear them loud and clear along with the misses wearing a full face. With a half helmet or none it's blasting. Mind you I have a proper windshield that I look over not through. I have no hard lowers either just the soft ones for cold weather. Overall the build and quality are just as good as OEM. I was going to go the route of Marine radio, controller for handle bar but I know people that have that set up and it works but this is factory drop in with zero problems. Price wise your at almost the same. But it's perposefully built for HD and works great. My only unknown is will it last? I'm extremely happy and recommend it to all my knucklehead buddies who ride a road couch. Cheers Update 2. So far works great, got caught in rain no issues except.... The damn display is soo bright it's actually distracting to the point it actually blinds you while driving at night. White light right in your direct field of view desensitize your eyes and makes it difficult to look at road. This is on my road glide. It does not dim enough. I ended taping a piece of plastic to cover display at night. Wish it could be turned down more. So beware. It's bad on long hauls. If your a curbside commando you should be fine. Update 2 years in use. Well it's been in may rain storms and is holding up fine. White display at night still sucks. I got Reed window tint and put two layers on and it's fine now but the really need to rethink the display color. The ring around the dial is scratched up from used. I don't really ever take the face off unless leaving in bad nieghborhood. The biggest crap part is the radio. Yes I thought maybe it was my antenna so replaced with a new cable and brand new top knotch mast. Still crap. So I listen to phone and streaming music so I'll put up with it.

Great replacement for OEM on street glide
Installed in a 2009 street glide. Fit like a glove. Sounds great on factory speakers. Waiting for speaker upgrades to arrive. Bluetooth connected and worked flawless with pixel 8 pro. As some have said the little cubby thing is a little pointless but that wasn't a selling point for me. You could probably throw a small mp3 player or something in there but most large phones aren't going to fit nor do they have headphone jacks. Again wasn't a selling point for me.

Really great sound... plug and play and get to keep the bandlebar functions on 09 flhtc. Had a bit of problem with shipping... but not the seller's fault. The sound that it throws.... just wowoowow

Baja calidad en zona de ensamble con motocicleta. Aleación de aluminio muy ligera. Soportes no aguantan al apretar los tornillos

Was a great replacement for my 2013 TriGlide after so many failures of reconditioned Harley head units.

I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This is a very basic unit. Radio plus Bluetooth. Seems more weatherproof than the Harley original. Was easy to fit using the plug on the existing loom. Holes lined up exactly. Not the most beautiful radio in the world, but it works & interfaces seamlessly with the handlebar controls.
