I enjoy spicy food. Usually when something claims, "Caution: Extremely Hot & Spicy" I just roll my eyes and say, "Yeah, right." While I wouldn't consider it "extreme", it should still get the attention of even a seasoned capsaicin connoisseur. I consider it comfortably hot. My face may start to sweat, but I'm not desperately reaching for something to drink. For the uninitiated, it will definitely pose a challenge, as many of my coworkers can attest. Even so, one thing everyone has agreed on is the delicious flavor. A very nice balance of sweet and peppery goodness. Excellent texture as well. Not so tough and dry that you feel like you're going to rip your teeth out trying to tear off a piece. It's still a little moist and chewy. I couldn't help myself and finished off an entire bag in one go. No regrets. The only real con is it's a bit pricey. But grass-fed beef tends to be, and the quality of this meat is clearly evident. Highly recommended.

Ok, here’s what I’ve been looking months for. Something that is very hot but not like those hot sauces or foods that are like battery acid that once eaten they are hot just for the sake of being unbearably hot. I can find those items all day. No, what I have been wanting is something that very very hot but that you can still eat and has flavor. This is that! It is very hot but not so much that you can’t feel your mouth any more. It is very hot let me just say that again! But it is also very addicting. I actually ate one entire bag! If you are looking for something that is extremely hot but still edible then this my friend is it! But it, it won’t disappoint.

Great taste. I got one bag from another vendor that was a bit close to expiration date and didn’t eat past a piece or two. The newer bag was great. Little chewy, but not dry, and had slow burn so give it a minute.

I love my spicy foods of all kinds and sometimes the label will mislead you when it says "Hot" The carolina reaper jerky I orderd has my hot taste buds beyond satisfied. The jerky was hot enough to make you sweat and instantly addictive. Nice work!!! Jerky was perfectly hot and yummy!!!

Tasted a bit rancid. BUT,If you like hot, this product is HOT.

I am currently writing this review with a scorched tongue. This beef jerky is incredibly high quality, and incredibly spicy. As a spice head, I have finally met my match. Though it isn't all spice, the flavor of this beef jerky is fantastic. The Carolina Reaper is known for it's heat, but also it's distinctive flavor, and the spices used in Mission Meats Carolina Reaper Grass-Fed Beef Jerky compliment the pepper very nicely. This is a perfectly portioned snack for anybody who loves spice, or is looking for a challenge.
