He was super excited to use it. Loves hunting for gems, rocks, fossils and such. So this was perfect

My kid enjoyed these. It got him off electronics and allowed him to “break stuff”. It is VERY MESSY!

My daughter loves dig it bars. We were going to the bea h for her birthday, so I thought these would be perfect. They are somewhat hard to get the prizes out. We let them soak in water and still had difficulty. I had to get the prize out of the mermaid tail and I accidentally tore the leg and tail off of it because it was in there so well and the bar did not want to break. Some of them were easier than others, but I hated that I spent $20 and i had to pretty much dig the prizes out. My daughter got bored quickly be cause it wouldnt break. I probably wouldnt buy this brand again.

My son loves pirates and he loved digging through these to get the treasures. The only thing that is a little frustrating is the prize is so tiny compared to the size of the plaster mold you have to dig through. For example the colored rock you get in one was smaller then a penny. I was so surprised that was the only prize in the whole mold. But some of the other prizes were fun and just for the activity alone it was pretty worth it.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my 6 year old son that loves to go gem hunting. He was having a great time…until we got to the fools gold. You know save the best for last. Well disappointed is an understatement. There was no fools gold. I checked over him to make sure he didn’t miss it. Nope not there.

This kept my 5 year old entertained for hours! It takes a good amount of time to break through and he loved every moment of it. It does create a lot of dust, and we had him wear a face covering because of it, we also moved it outside. But really, it’s worth the hours of time we had to ourselves while he dug and got lost in his pirate imagination!

Gave it to a 4 year old and he had hours of fun with it. He did need a little help with the digging, but he loved it.

I gave them to my kiddo for her 5th birthday. She loves smashing things. The little wooden tools that come with it are kind of useless and, after I saw my girl was getting frustrated, I gave it a go. I hit my fingers a few times but I got the job done. She got a cube of what I presume is supposed to be "gold" (it was silver in colour). When it came to the second one, I told her I would do it the next day. She didn't accept that so she grabbed her little pink metal hammer from her tool box and smashed the heck out of the rest. She was happy with her "treasures", but sometimes it takes very little to please a child. She had fun smashing them and that's all that matters in the end.

Absolute junk

My son loves anything you must dig or excavate. This set looked impressive but when in use is so disappointing. Huge blocks to break with little to uncover. And the prize “gold gem” was so small, it left my 6 year old disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend this set for a child with expectations.

My nephew is pirate obsessed, so this was a hit. I bought them for him for Christmas and he asked me to buy them for him again.It was really fun!
