Access Paris 11e: Discover the Best Hotels, Restaurants, and Landmarks with Easy-to-Read, Color-Coded Maps (Access Guides)

We liked the first one so much from 20 years ago, that we bought this one. Do Paris guidebooks really change much, not really. Neither does Paris, so we went with what did not need revisions and we are most pleased that this is basically the same useful and detailed guidebook without unnecessary fluff found in others.

Having seen an old copy of this guide I was keen to have a copy for my next visit to Paris. The reason I bought this guide was because of the colour coding of restaurants, hotels, shops, outdoors and sights and culture in each area so that when visiting I could design day tours to suit our group. I am disappointed that the publisher has not continued the colour guide so that all of the information as well as the headings are colour coded. The headings in colour are helpful. The pop ups of personal stories or areas of interest are good but could have more information on how to actually find the places mentioned.

Just ordered Access Paris for a friend, and was reminded, again, how much I enjoy using this book to get ready for trips to Paris. It includes big picture information, as well as detail. The guide is organized by walking tours of neighborhoods, with everything described along the way, from points of interest, to shops,restaurants, and many local favorites. Enjoy!

A book about the sites in Paris, make sure you buy the current up to date volume. The map was very handy to use.

Since it was at least 5 years old it wasn't very helpful! . Didn't say that in the description.so no.

This is my favorite travel book. Very easy to carry around Paris. Always understand where I am and how to get where I want to go. Enough history and up to date restaurants.

Access has been my favorite city guide book for European cities for some years but I was disappointed to find Access Paris is out of date, last published in 2008. I had to confirm the hours for every site. I don't recall seeing a publishing date on line, as one would with an actual book in hand.

Very useful when in Paris for pre-planning and when in the city.
