Like everyone says... the hardware is cheap, and will kill you. I cut my top rung out and was 3/4 inch too short for my werner 28ft aluminum ladder. Units width is 13 and 5/8ths inches. So it must be designed for fiberglass units. There are only 2 sketchy aluminum rivets that attach the bar to each side. I'm not trusting my life to that, so I will drill and add some bolts. I bought it for the purpose of attaching bull ropes to trees to help guide their fall with my truck. It does seem like a sound design, but will require a lot of engineering and hardware improvements to get right. My 4 ft stabilizing bar attaches with 2 Big U-bolts and I have never questioned its design.

Just what I expected! Fit great on my little giant extension ladder! And half the price from the original ones!
