I was very pleased with the quick shipping
The tie downs arrived in short order. I was very pleased with the quick shipping, packing and overall quality of the tie downs. I mounted them in my utility trailer. I made a template from 3/4" wood stock and drilled a 3 1/2" hole with a hole saw and drill press. The template butted up against the bottom rail of the utility trailer. I used a straight cut router bit 1/2" wide with a flush bearing at the top and set 1" deep; however, I made two passes; first pass at 1/2 inch and the second pass at 1". I located the template with the template hole centered and template butted up against the bottom rail of the trailer. I used a staple gun with 2" staples and tacked the template in place. It held very well and easy to pop out and move to the next location. I drilled a 1" deep starter hole for the router bit with a 3/4" forstner bit flush against the inside edge of the template hole. I set the router bit to 1/2" depth and dropped it into the starter hole with bearing flush against the edge of the template and ran around the outside edge cutting the perimeter. Then I nibbled away at the remainder and slowly cut out the interior of the recessed hole. I lowered the bit to 1" for the second pass doing the same. My son got a kick out of holding the vacuum hose for the dust collector sucking up the debris as I routed. I drilled a quarter inch hole in the middle of the cut out through the remainder of the wood floor and used a counter sink bit to make a funnel shape. This is for drainage should water or moisture get between the bottom of the tie down and the cut out. I sealed the wood, let it dry for a day, then drilled my bolt holes and used clear silicone to seal the tie down and bolts to keep water from penetrating beneath the tie down, and dropped in the bolts and tightened them up. I used 3/8" x 2 1/2" carriage bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts of course. The mounting of the tie downs went perfectly and they give me significant utility. The most important thing to me though is the fast shipping and excellent packing of the product from Mackie Ent Inc (I bought four tie downs with backing plates). As a footnote, I found tie downs at Home Depot. The Home Depot tie downs were half the capacity and cost twice as much with no backing plates. Mackie Ent Inc is offering excellent value and excellent customer service.

Very Nice Product
Really nice, heavy duty D-rings. I purchased the 4 pack and later ordered a 2 pack. Installation is much easier with two people, where one can work above the floor and the other below. With my son and I working as a team, it took less than 15 minutes to install each one. We used a different method to install them, rather than the instructions. You will definitely appreciate the backing plates, as there is minimal material between where the large hole is cut (you will need a large hole saw and good size 1/2 drill) and the mounting bolt holes are drilled. I used 3/8" carriage bolts, 1 3/4" long to attach to the 3/4" plywood floor of my utility trailer.

Good Quality but no bolts
I ordered these to mount in my trailer. I was impressed with the quality. The only bad thing was that it came with no mounting hardware. This worked out OK as I opted for Stainless Steel bolts, and nuts.

Solid product, recessed feature is great!
This is a very sturdy product. When bolted in with 3/8 carriage bolts, washers and lock nuts, I'm sure they will hold any load I will carry. The recessed design is nice, I have shovelled snow off my open trailer and not gottten caught up on the d-rings. As this product does not come with bolts, don't be tempted to use stainless hardware. Galvanized and stainless will corrode when in contact.

Wow! These are perfect!
They are very strong and easy to install! Buy 4 carriage bolts 3/8” x 2 1/2” and lock nuts. I used a 3 1/2” hole saw to cut the hole, and a 3/8” drill bit for them bolt holes. I highly recommend these!!

Good tie downs
Product is heavy duty and installed without a problem. I used 3/8" x 3" carriage bolts for the install. The backing plates are reasonably thick and make for a very secure tie down. The rings we're very stiff to lift up but I expect they will break in with use. The seller had excellent customer service. One of the tie downs was damaged when I received it and the seller sent out a replacement very quickly.

Great D Rings, NO BOLTS!
Really disappointed that they did not come with bolts, especially because I was in the middle of install before I realized there was no bolts. Big hassle. Had to stop and go buy bolts. Picture of product shows bolts! Figure the cost of bolts, nuts, washers when purchasing! Other d-rings come with bolts.

It would be nice to know that they do not contain the bolts to mount them as we now have to go to the local hardware supplier to get bolts so we might as well got the tiedowns from them as well rather than waiting for them to be delivered. The picture also show bolts so would assume they came with them. Why not state it in the listing that they DO NOT?
