Good for Indian not for hummus or falafel
This is a nice product. It was very fresh it doesn't get lumpy it was well packaged. The only thing that I disliked about the product itself was that it was in such a hard lump that if I were someone with arthritis or severe carpal tunnel fibromyalgia I would not be able to break this up by myself. Now on to the real question. No it does not make hummus. It makes chickpea pudding literally tastes like chickpea pudding. It makes an acceptable Falafel Style fried dumpling. however it is not real Falafel nowhere close. falafel made with this flour is something I would use if I was trying to save a little money in my budget or for tough times financially. In short I'm sure it's great for Indian food if you can break it up into small enough chunks that you could sift it. However for near Eastern food no and this is not a substitute for chickpeas at all. I am going back to making them fresh and freezing them on trays so I can flex serve. *Freeze soaked or cooked beans on a tray. When they are hard put them in a bag period for quickie hummus put a few chickpeas in a bag with tahinia etc and mash with your hands just seal the bag and knead it up

Perfect for croquettes and homemade recipes”
I really liked this chickpea flour. It has a fine texture and a natural flavor that works great in recipes. I used it for croquettes, and they turned out delicious – crispy on the outside and soft inside. I also appreciate the good packaging and the fact that it’s organic.

Hard As A Brick
I recently ordered this for the 3rd time. On one other occasion, it arrived hard as a brick. This recent bag was the same way. I won't be ordering again. I had to break the brick into egg-sized chunks. Then I put it in the food processor but ended up with rock hard pebbles of flour. Then I put portions of it into the blender which made it more fine. But still wasn't okay. Then I put portions of it through a fine metal strainer and used my pestle. I finally ended up with flour I could use. The kitchen is a dusty mess and I have piles of bowls, dishes and equipment from this process. I will buy another brand next time that has always been consistently good. Turning the brick into flour took me over an hour.

You need a food processor
I appreciate that this is organic but I'm not sure if I will purchase again. It is brick hard, as others have said. I ran it through my food processor and I still had lumps. The lumps do not dissolve with liquid.

Awesome flavor, texture, seems just like normal white flour
I have never even heard of this flour before until I switched diets to vegan and started cooking recipes which called for this type of flour so I found it on Amazon and tried it. It is just lovely and just like regular white processed flour… can barely tell any difference. I only used it in 2 cooking receipts, one in vegan brownies and it cooked just like regular flour. I love it and will buy again when I’m running low.
