Super cute shoes but order a bigger or wider size if your kiddo has fat feet! :)
The shoes are super cute!! They are much cuter in person than they are online! I originally ordered a 4W but had to return them for a 4XW because it was really hard to get my sons feet in the shoe! The 4W's fit just fine once you got them on but I did not want to hassle with the extra time it took to put them on...especially when you are dealing with a toddler that doesn't want to sit still for very long! 10 minutes after taking them out of the box and putting them on he spilled milk all over them! We just rinsed them in water and let them dry and they are still perfect! I haven't been able to test the machine washing option just yet but hopefully they will hold up in the wash like they are designed to do.

Twin boy approved!
From the perspective of the mom, these shoes seem great. My boys ( I have 18 mo twins) love having them put on in the morning. They literally raise their feet up and wait for us to put their socks and shoes on, then grin and toddle off :-). With that said, I have no idea what their true shoe size/width etc. should be (I haven't had them professionally sized) . All I know is I ordered a size based off what they wore in other shoe brands and this one fit accordingly. I would definitely buy these or other Stride Rite shoes again.Pros: Easy on/off; very cute; easy to clean; flexible; somewhat breathable; appear comfortable; came well packaged (individual shoe boxes); no issues with rubbing/blisters; no issues with holes in the shoesCons: Velcro is easy to undo (i.e. it can just randomly come undone), the color of the shoe is much lighter than the picture (not a problem for me, just info for the next buyer), the boys feet tend to smell by the end of the day (they are boys, but maybe an issue with breathability of the shoe)

Velcro that Lasts!
The shoes have worked perfectly for my son! He has a couple shoe choices and these are usually his "go to" pair. I love the colors of these shoes because you can really dress them up or down. Very versatile. The velcro has really held up as well. I have purchased other velcro shoes and the velcro usually pulls away within a month, we've had these shoes for at least 6 months and the velcro is still in perfect working condition. Trust me my son is not easy on the shoes and I'm really happy with how well they have held up!

Torn already!!
*Update: I ended up returning these to Stride Rite and they replaced the torn ones for a new comparable pair. They have excellent customer service and I will definitely be buying more stride rite shoes (the new ones haven't torn and have been great for my active 4 year!)I bought these for my active 4 year old to wear to school, thinking they'd last awhile. However, after wearing them only to school (not even two weeks) the back piece has torn off. I've never bought stride rite shoes before this pair and I don't know that I'll buy anymore. For the price I paid, I would've like to have seen them last longer than two weeks.

Too narrow
We usually like StrideRite. They fit well, hold up & have a good look to them. So we were willing to give their new Made 2 Play style a chance. We hated them! They are hard to get on esp. on a squirmy toddler. Mostly because they are cut too narrow. We even printed out the sizing tool on their website to see if somehow he had gone from a medium to a wide. Nope just poor design. We kept hoping they would stretch out. Nope. And now we've had them too long to return them. So needless to say we will never ever get Made 2 Play again & will stick with their other styles. Though truthfully if they continue in this trend we will cut them all together. They are too expensive for this foolishness.

Quite a challenge to put on
I purchased these shoes for my 15-month-old. The first time we purchased them in his size and we had to return them because they were about a half size too small. I like the look of these shoes and they look like they will last. We ended up purchasing these shoes a full size up so my son would have something to grow into, so I can't comment on their actual performance yet.UPDATE: My son has finally grown into these shoes and has worn them on and off for the past 2 weeks. There is a tab at the back of the shoe and now I know why. At least for my kid, these shoes are super difficult to get on his foot so that tab is there to assist the parent in pulling the shoe on to the kid's foot. I don't know what the deal is. Maybe these shoes are narrow or something (although once they are on his foot, my son seems fine with them), but I have never encountered such problems putting a shoe on a kid's foot. We undo the Velcro all the way and open these up as wide as they will go and still it's a struggle to get them on his foot. If he didn't have room to spare in the toe box and seems perfectly fine once we get them on him, I wouldn't continue to put them on. These are really cute shoes but we struggle to get them on our son's feet. His feet are pretty chubby so maybe kids with normal or narrow feet wouldn't have the same issue...

Wide width and good Amazon customer service
I love these shoes for my toddler. She has wide-ish feet and these come in wide width. They're relatively easy to get on her (is anything easy when a toddler doesn't want to sit still?). Yes, the back tab on one of the shoes did rip off within less than a month, but I contacted Amazon customer service and they sent me a replacement pair of shoes even though I was a day past the 30 day return time. If the new pair rips, I will update this post. But for now, I love these shoes, they fit great, and they're super cute.

Solid, nice shoe
Stride Rite is the shoe I rely on for my son's wide, thick feet. I have yet to be disappointed with any that I've purchased for him. Sturdy, good quality, look nice, fit as expected, last as long as he can wear them, and they come in wide, which is necessary for him. He is still wearing the pair I bought him a year ago and they are in tact yet. Clearly used, but still in one piece and what he goes to first. He's almost 6.
