These dental picks are effective and get the job done, but they aren't my favorite. While they work well for interdental cleaning, the bristles are slightly stiffer than I prefer, making for a less smooth gliding experience than the main brand. That being said, these picks are still a good option for maintaining oral hygiene and keeping teeth clean. Overall, I'd recommend these dental picks if you're looking for a decent alternative to the leading brand, but remember that the bristles are slightly stiffer than you may be used to. older family member with issues as gums recede. Dentist recommended using similar products as an over all care regiment. As people age in late 80s gums start to recede and teeth get further exposed and trapped food can cause cavities much easier. This helps remove items at the root of the teeth, I would not recommend if you have sensitive teeth.

These are a little wider and thicker then the ones from the drug store

The bristles are coming off with use. You can imagine where they are going. Right in your stomach and beyond. To use these toothpicks, I first trim them off. Than they are safe enough for me to use.

The first time I bought these over a year ago, I was happy with their performance. I had been purchasing similar in small plastic boxes which I keep in my back pocket. The boxes were typically sold in a 2-pack at Walgreens (200 total) for what I paid for this box of 1100. I simply reload one of the small boxes with these, and I'm good to go. Compared to other similar offerings, for me, these are not too stiff and just the right size.
