I bought this going in with the knowledge that the fabric was not quilt quality or even big box quality by how low the price was. I was not surprised. They are exactly what I thought they’d be. Before I bought them I thought I could make baby bib patchwork out of them or similar, knowing that whatever I made was either going to have a short-term use or something that was rarely touched. However, once I had them in my hand, I could tell bibs and the like were not a likely reality. Very thin. There is nothing wrong with thin material if one is creative. My thought is, “eh, I can make bibs et al., but I’d have to use fusible interfacing to extend the fabric’s life, but the additional expense of the interfacing would negate why I bought the low cost fabric in the first place. However, I CAN use them (with fusibles) as appliqués, appliqués that are only for cute frills and not for the underlying structural fabric itself. So win/win? I think so. Bottom line, yes, it is 100% cotton, but more for projects that do not require them to be used or touched often. You CAN quilt with them, but for baby doll quilts or clothes and such. I’m giving it five stars because nothing about this product is misleading if a little common sense and critical thinking are applied, meaning “scary low price for 100% cotton = not quality quilt fabric”.

Honestly, I was expecting not great when I read the reviews, but I was doing my first sewing project in probably 10 years so I just went with it. These were a dream to work with. Pre cut and pre ironed, sign me up. Will be repurchasing simply for the ease.

Great value for the variety of colors and patterns you get. Standard cotton fabric quality, and easy to work with. The 4x4 squares are great for smaller projects, but know that they aren’t all exactly cut square.

The colors and pattern varieties were great. Some of the material feels thicker/sturdier, some feels thinner/floppier. Also, and this is why I didn’t give it 5 stars, not all of the cuts are squared. So, I had to adjust my sewing for that. I used the squares to make a quilted looking hat. Halfway through construction, but pretty satisfied.

Just perfect for my craft project!

I purchased these pre-cut fabric squares for crafting, hoping they'd be suitable for my daughter to practice quilting with. Unfortunately, the fabric is very thin and feels like poor quality. It's not something I would recommend for actual projects, as it lacks durability. The squares are also not uniform in size – many are crooked and don't line up properly, which makes it hard to work with. I ended up giving them to my daughter for practice, but they are not ideal for any serious crafting projects.

My 8 year old grandchild got a small sewing machine from Santa and these 4” squares of fabric are perfect for sewing together with multi patterns to design with.

I love the patterns! Good for sewing!!
