Brilliant,best price,most information.
Ordered this item after reading the reviews. All reviews had their own point of view. Delivery was OK, but could be faster. Item was well packed. Set up was instant. Reception was perfect, from poolside to kitchen. The intelli clock did not set so I set it manually. I think it has now received the atomic signals and is keeping excellent time. The pressure, humidityAnd temperature readings are as accurate as possible in this type of instrument. Internal temp. Is off by one degree, external about 1.5 degree. I have many battery weather stations. This one has the display on 24 hrs. I do not keep it at the bedside but in the kitchen so I can see it most times and first thing when making my hot drink in the morning. The display has a limited viewing angle but I am able to see it from at least 10 ft. wearing spectacles. I have not put batteries in the display unit because a power outage will mostly be due to stormy weather, here in Florida, which I can see from the window. In my experience the sensor batteries should always be lithium, especially in colder areas. Should last about a year but I am expecting less because the remote is collecting more data. The forecast is very accurate at this time. Also, this is the only weather station that has three stage weather forecasts- immediate 4 hours, next 4-8 hours and 8-12 hours. The bar chart is very attractive, just as the brightness . The only thing missing is the moon phase which would make the display even more informative. The bar chart can be changed from displaying pressure to temperature and humidity. Very interesting to see the differences between day and night. I have had it about 2 weeks. Hope it keeps on going but from experience I know all this class of instruments do not last. These home use weather stations are never as accurate as professional ones, but then, look how competitive the price is! I plan to take one to England to see how it performs in more extreme conditions. Will update if possible.

Its 8 1/2 inches high with the stand and 6 13/16 inches wide and 15/16 inch thick so the display is nice and big
If the dimensions were not included in the advertisement I would have expected the this unit would be smaller than it is. Its 8 1/2 inches high with the stand and 6 13/16 inches wide and 15/16 inch thick so the display is nice and big. Everything is easy to read. The display is somewhat polarized vertically to close to 95 degrees viewing angle, so it is recommended that it be installed close to eye level vertically. A good horizontal viewing angle is close to 170 degrees.Mine has a 3 step background illumination (100%, 60%, 30%) setting and it seems to automatically dim around 9 pm. The background illumination is on 24/7 while connected to the power supply. The display takes 3xAA batteries (not needed if connected to the external power supply) and the remote sensor takes 2 AA batteries. It transmits every 17 seconds. If the display is running on batteries you have to press the illumination bar on the top of the unit to light up the background led display. It stays lit for about 10 seconds. The barometer takes up to 14 days to acclimate it's self calibration to your local air pressure. The accuracy of the Barometer, from my own experience, is close to +/- .01 inches of Mercury. It reads to .01 inches, pretty accurate, close to a calibration lab secondary standard.Indoor temperature has a blue background and the outdoor is orange and yellow.I can't say much about the accuracy of the rest of the instruments built into the unit however it seems to be very accurate. The readings are adjustable to closely match your local weather conditions, +/- 10% of full scale. I suspect the useable scale is close to 10% to 90% relative humidity. For the price, it's an excellent instrument and I'm giving it 5 stars. Turn around time, from purchase to arrival, was good, and on time. The unit was packed well for shipment. This company shows me a lot of pride in it's product and relations with customers which I'm also giving 5 stars for their honesty in advertizing this weather instrument.

Good but not great. Indoor temp inaccurate.
Pretty happy with this unit with the exception of the indoor temp. It reads 2 degrees higher or more due to it being plugged in all the time. I checked it against the outdoor sensor for a day and it was not reading the same. The indoor temp was at least 2 degrees higher than the what the sensor was showing on the outdoor display. With that in mind, I really like the display because it is easy to see and has the other features I was searching for. The outdoor temp seems pretty close to accurate. It has to be close to eye level to read it which is normal for color displays. It can be wall mounted. It has a base to stand it up on a desktop. The display stays on when plugged in and turns off when using batteries only... A press of the button and the display lights up for a few seconds. I really do like this unit I just wish the indoor temp was not so far out of whack. The indoor temp is just crazy inaccurate and disappointing. Lucky for me, I am more concerned with the remainder features which work fine. 4 stars.
