Amazing blow dryer for lazy waves to curlier hair!
I have 2a-2b waves in my hair and have always dreaded washing my hair in the mornings because when I let it air dry...all I get is puff and inconsistent waves that are uncontrollable. I just look like one big poofy mess. I have bought other hair dryers before with diffusers but they were always expensive or the diffuser itself didn't hold that much hair. Enter the conair texture hairdryer...my god thing thing was a game changer for me!! There's honestly not much I can complain about given that the price is amazing, the results were amazing, the diffuser is generously sized and the heat and results were impressive. I am so glad I didn't blow another $150 for those fancy so called salon hair-dryers! I liked the fact that it had a good amount of settings so that I could keep adjusting as needed. My hair dried quick and not frizzy...I mean what else can you ask for?? If I had to be nit picky about anything, it would probably be the location of the buttons on the handle...when I did grab too hard, I did accidently press on the buttons and changed the settings unintentionally but it's such a miniscule problem that it doesn't even bother me. Great value for the money and Highly recommend!

Fantastic hair dryer - especially with the diffuser! Leaves curls defined.
Wow! The diffuser on this is amazing! I'm not sure why a few other reviewers are complaining about it not drying hair. No, there isn't air flowing out the back of the diffuser very much. But it doesn't matter. It dries your hair fantastically, leaving your curls well defined! It also dries hair quickly - with or without the diffuser. My only complaint is that on high heat, it doesn't take long for the diffuser to get too hot to touch so you can't remove the diffuser immediately after using it. It's been doing a great job for several months so far and seems like it will last many years. It isn't any louder than a typical hair drier and I appreciate having different heat and fan speed levels instead of combining them into one switch. It also has a cold shot button. Having a hanging loop is also handy since I have a hook on the side of my sink to hang it on. The hairdryer itself is reasonably small but the diffuser isn't so it's not a great travel hair dyer so keep that in mind if that's important to you. Although without the diffuser, it's small enough that I would travel with it. For curly or straight hair - this hair dyer is a winner due to the different heat and speed levels, how quickly it dries your hair and how well it works for curly hair.

Better than expected
I am pleasantly surprised by this hairdryer. My hair dries a bit faster now and I was skeptical because of the design of this diffuser with the open vents around the cup. When I first started using it I thought it would take longer because I felt much of the heat/air was being blown out - but that is not the case! In fact, my curls are better shaped with less frizz and bouncy. As we age a lot of things change and my curls have been one of them, not as tight and more wavy, but this dryer helped them curl up more. I read a review about the hairdryer becoming hot - it's warmer because of the air coming out of the vents, not from the dryer itself malfunctioning. If you hold your hand around the barrel instead of the handle it too would get warm, but it's not burning out or about to start a fire lol. It is slightly heavier than my previous dryer but nothing that made a difference, especially since my hair dries quicker with this one. Another review mentioned the cold button isn't cold - these buttons are never expected to shoot cold air like an air conditioner, it's only cooler than the heat settings and that is enough to set your curls at the end of the drying. My only real dislike is the way the diffuser attaches, it's hard to remove and I'm afraid that if I keep taking it off, that the little clips will break. I just keep the diffuser on, it's not worth risking the break. And someone mentioned longer hair getting sucked up into the end, well that's something to watch with any hairdryer, the back pulls air in so the hot air can blow out .... obviously. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase at this price, and I'm glad I choose this one with the unique diffuser. It really does seem to make a difference.

Great Hair Dryer and Diffuser!
Best hair dryer and super-best diffuser for wavy and curly hair! The deep and wide design of the diffuser results in beautifully defined waves and curls. The three fan levels and three temperatures give great control. I just bought a replacement after 7 years with the former one. Happy to buy the same hair dryer again. One wish (if Conair is reading) would be for the diffuser to attach more securely - sometimes it does fall off. But, will reiterate that I love this dryer!

Works fantastic on thick long curly hair! Buy it!!
Wish I had ordered this before I bought two others that didn’t work nearly as well as this one. The large “cup” works great and dries my hair so much quicker without frizzing out my curls. I purchased two others that didn’t dryers that were much more expensive and returned both. This is the one! If you have thick, long, curly hair that frizzes if you rush the drying process then try this dryer. It is 100% worth every penny, plus it is less expensive than most of the specialty curly hair dryers!! 100% recommend!!!!

Cut my hair drying time in half!!
The hair dryer is a little heavy but it is a fantastic, quality hair dryer. The diffuser is larger than most and it dries my hair in half the time of my old dryer. My daughter has super thick hair and it dried her hair pretty fast as well. The diffuser does get pretty hot to the touch but it works very well. It is very easy to switch from hot to cool. The color and quality make you feel like you are using a super expensive dryer!

Best diffuser hair drier ever!
Love this hairdryer with diffuser. The diffuser holds my hair perfectly and curl’s are full, soft and not frizzy. Diffuser snaps on/off easily. Takes me 5 min to dry my hair enough to hold curls for the day. Love it!

If you diffuse, you must refuse!
Who knew that buying a new hairdryer with a diffuser would be so complicated!! I did a ton of research. I chose this one because I was intrigued by the large diffuser - it's the biggest one I've ever seen! I figured I would pile all my hair into the giant bowl and it would be amazing! And they said the venting in the back is some fancy new design technology - and I can't resist Science! Alas, there are some major problems with the diffuser: 1. The diffuser has giant vent holes. Why is this a problem? Because it doesn't really diffuse the air! It's basically just blowing air through the giant venting, as if you didn't even HAVE a diffuser. The purpose of a diffuser is to DIFFUSE the air so it doesn't blow full blast on your curls. It is supposed to provide gentler air flow to dry your hair and diffuse the strong air flow that can destroy the curls and create frizz. But the holes aren't small enough to actually diffuse the air. 2. The diffuser has the giant venting holes on the BACK of the diffuser as well (like at the bottom of the "bowl"). Other diffusers are solid in the back. Wanna know why? Because otherwise all the air escapes out the back before it gets to your hair! This means it takes much longer to actually dry your hair because half of the air is shooting out the back. It makes no sense. (I honestly would like to know their rationale for this fancy new design...) 3. This is the worst part: It actually causes more frizz!! If you place the diffuser at the nape of your neck, the air that escapes through the vents in the back blows air all over your curls. Goodbye curls, hello frizz. For reference, I have somewhat fine, wavy curls. Shoulder length (not a ton of hair). Maybe this whole design would be okay for another type of hair (I can't imagine who. But maybe). Also, to be fair - I only bought this particular hair dryer because of the fancy new diffuser (and because the hair dryer itself met all my other requirements, based on my research). The hair dryer unit is fine. In fact, I thought about just buying an alternative (normal!) diffuser that is compatible with the hair dryer, but I ended up just giving it away to someone (who doesn't have curls and doesn't need a diffuser). Anyway, here is what I can tell you about it: 1. It is longer than most hair dryers. The implication is that if you hold the dryer away from your head (which you kind of have to do when you are diffuse-drying your hair), your arm is farther away. Not a huge deal but it makes it kind of awkward. 2. It's kind of heavy, compared to other hairdryers. I know this because I currently have six hair dryers in my house (long story). You probably wouldn't notice unless you had six hair dryers in your house to compare it to. But, the weight combined with the awkward position of holding it farther away from your head can cause discomfort. Especially if you have literally no upper body strength, like me. 3. It didn't run super hot, which I appreciated. The Low, Medium, High heat is accurate (unlike some dryers where Medium is hot and Hot is scalding). This is a big plus, and another endorsement of the hair dryer itself. In summary: If you diffuse, you must refuse. But if you just want decent hair dryer, then go for it.
