I've started playing some of these, & most tunes would be easily recognised. Faves include Moonlight Sonata & the Dolly Suite which I have now mastered, hooray! Haven't played in years but this book has proved a good continuation point for me, neither too easy nor too difficult. Intermediate level, so just right!

I bought this for my little girl because I remember having both volumes of the usual version when I was younger, and I enjoyed romping through the duets with my sister.I am not very good at gauging difficulty according to grades. These arrangements are definitely easy - I can sightread them now quite comfortably many years since last 'properly' playing the piano, but most of them definitely not for beginners - my daughter is Grade 2 and I couldn't see her picking up and playing a lot of them. However, she will grow into them, and it's good to have lots of different styles of music around to dip into.My one sadness about this is that there are no duets, unlike the main version.

Excellent book, I've bought it for myself and others. While the title of the book is "easy" piano pieces, I would say they range from easy to intermediate.I also really appreciate it being ring bound, it makes the book so much more practical than traditionally bound music book which don't stay open on their own!

this book has a great selection of tunes to be fair and is very good value for money, just a word of caution - it aint that easy! I've been playing for about a year so very much a beginner and there are only a very small number of tunes in here that I can tackle. I look forward to developing my skills and being able to play more of these great classics. For those who have more talent and experience - Im sure they will be really happy with this book.

I liked the ring-binding which makes turning pages easier and I like the fact that you have a wide range of classics. However, this volume is not that easy and has a lot of challenging pieces for the beginner.Also, the notes seem a bit 'crammed in' in places, which makes sight-reading more difficult. They should be more spaced-out.It's somewhere between beginner and intermediate really. I was always told that you should learn sight reading a couple of grades lower than your usual playing standard but this is quite hard for the beginner to get straight into. Decided to return it, due to the inadequate printing here and there, which makes it harder to read. Shame because there are some really nice pieces!

I've already reviewed this. I wasn't that impressed with it because it has pieces in the wrong key and pieces that are only half there. It would be better to have complete easy pieces rather than messing around with the originals.
