Nubian Heritage Aluminum-Free Deodorant, Honey & Black Seed

This is my second time purchasing this deodorant but as much as I adore this product, I'll admit there are some things about it that could be considered drawbacks, hence the mixed reviews. First, the scent is more complex than you usually find. It is elegant, mature, and slightly musky/sensual which makes it more like a perfume. Throughout the day your own natural scent does combine a bit with that of the deodorant so the appeal of this is really dependent on how your body chemistry works with this particular product. For some it will be very complementary and for others it seems, very undesirable. Secondly, it is important to remember that this is a deodorant and not an antiperspirant, which is why I think this scent mixture happens. You will still sweat and although we all would like to stay dry, this is a compromise for cleaner ingredients. If you are someone who sweats a lot and can't make that compromise than another option may be better.Another reason I will continue using this product is because the ingredients work well for me. I have sensitive skin and a skin condition so knowing that this deodorant doesn't aggravate it and is safe for me is nearly priceless. Lastly, the texture of this product is smooth and slightly creamy so it goes on easily, but that also makes it transfer to clothing somewhat easily too. I tend to wear looser clothing in that area so it's not too much of a problem but it is something to be aware of. This deodorant is not prefect and it requires consideration of the pros and cons, but it is honestly my favorite I've ever used and has become a staple for me.

This is the only natural deodorant I've ever tried that I've bought a second time. Since I don't like using deodorants with lots of chemicals, aluminum, and propylene glycol, I've tried lots of brands of natural deodorants. Most of them have not worked at all or have stopped working after a few weeks' use. To my surprise, this Nubian Heritage Honey and Black Seed deodorant has never let me down. I used the whole container and immediately purchased it again. Maybe my body chemical make-up is weird, but this is unheard of for me! I'm very excited to have found a safe and effective natural deodorant!It effectively protects against odor during my 10 hour work days. I've never smelled any B.O. and neither have my co-workers. And believe me, they'd tell me if they did! Since it is not an antiperspirant, I do sweat, but I'm used to that, having not used an antiperspirant for many years now.I'm an unscented deodorant kind of girl, so I was worried about the fragrance. However, I really like it a lot. It's a pleasant smell that's not over-powering and fades away after an hour or so. I liked the fragrance so much that I purchased the Honey and Black Seed body lotion, but that smells nothing like the deodorant and is extremely overpowering. I had to throw it away.I know deodorant is a very personal thing so I can only share my own experience. But if you are like me and you are looking for a natural, safe deodorant that won't irritate your sensitive underarms and effectively controls odor, you might consider giving this one a try. It's been a wonderful find for me.

So I like the smell and the sizing of the deodorant but it does not last all day. I'm wondering should I just allow my body a few more days to get used to it...it's been about 4 days. It's lasts maybe 6 to 7 hours then u have to reapply. I do agree with other posts here stating that it does have a wet feeling going on but doesn't bother me as much. I was using degree but my armpits began hurting(which is odd) so I switched to this brand. Not sure if I will purchase again. Will update this review should it begin lasting longer throughout the day.***Update July 5th**It's been almost two months now and it still doesn't hold throughout the entire day. I guess thats the tradeoff when you buy natural deodorant.

OMG a natural deodorant that actually works?! I wanted to give this a solid try before I left a review and I've now been using for 3 weeks and I gotta say I love it. First, the smell is amazing, I had to buy the lotion too because I'm addicted. But for the actual product; I've been looking forever for a natural deodorant without baking soda that would keep me smelling nice and not break out my pits. I think this is it!The first week was a little rough because my pits were detoxing from an aluminum anti-perspirant so that's to be expected. But the detox really wasn't that bad and it was only after a long day that I would notice it. But after a week or so it really started to work. I work a fairly active job where I'm moving a lot outdoors and in buildings without A/C and I think it holds up well. You have to accept that there's going to be a little natural body odor, but the scent really lasts all day and keeps you smelling pretty nice. Once it gets warmer I may have to do a midday touch-up but for all the benefits I'm ok with that. I actually like lifting my arms up now because it smells so nice (I know that sounds weird) and I want to try some of the other scents. I would highly recommend
