I have a 35-40lb pit mix, and I am a 5ft tall female. Despite her relatively small/medium size, she is VERY strong when pulling on her leash. When I rescued her as a puppy she quickly displayed separation anxiety and would chew through a leash in seconds if I had to leave her in the car or somewhere for even a few minutes. I got tired of constantly having to replace her leash so I switched to a metal leash which I have been using for the past 3 years. She is now 4 years old and her separation anxiety has improved, and I don’t like the look of the metal leash because of all the breed bias/negative stigmas surrounding the pitbull breeds already, and because she is the best most loving and friendly dog ever. So I decided to try her with a regular leash again, but I wanted something that would help give me more control with her pulling and that would be durable and sturdy and would last. I looked for a long time before deciding to buy this leash. So far, I really really like it. It’s very thick, the reflective stitching is great, I love the built in d-ring for my poop bag holder (it did come with a free poop bag holder with a small roll of poop bags included, but I already had one), and I love the lightly padded handles! I’ve never had a leash with padded handles before but with a strong dog that pulls, it makes a big difference on the hands. I got the 5ft long leash and it is the perfect length for me. Not too long that I can’t grab the second control handle quickly if need be, but long enough that when I take her out to potty she has room to sniff around. I am always most concerned about the strength/durability of the metal clasp on leashes so I will see over time how well it holds up to her pulling when she gets excited. Overall, at this point, I would definitely recommend this leash!!!

Just took it from the packaging and it seems super high quality. Its super thick, nicely stitched and all the 'metal' bits are super sturdy and i have no doubts that they will ever break or snap since they're so thick. This leash is a normal length. Its handles are padded so you wont get that rub on your hands and I'm super happy about the second handle (which is why i bought this). It has a nice D ring to snap your accessories to it which is nice for doodie bags or snap bowls. Also it came with a free doodie dispenser and roll even though i picked an option that didnt show it?? I bought this for my weiner dog who is an agressive puller/stopper as well as a dog who gets nervous around other dogs so the second handle will come in handy. Esspecially when i meet idiots who dont leash their own dog because their pet is 'friendly' or parents or elderly folk who dont take 'please dont touch my dog' as an answer. While i know this is meant for big dogs if anyone is wondering and are in my situation, this will work for you too and will keep your pet safe. 10/10 would recommend.

I ordered this leash after my 5 month old puppy chewed nearly all the way through the $25 one I bought at the pet food store. My priority in looking for a new leash was to find the highest quality/customer rated, but least expensive leash... knowing the puppy may still try and chew it. This leash doesn’t disappoint. I bought the black 5 foot leash and the quality is excellent. Much better then my first leash that cost more than 3x as much. This leash looks and feels sturdy and the lower handle is so nice to help with passing cars, people and pets on walks. It allows me to keep the puppy from jumping on everyone and under control when we meet other dogs. It’s sturdy construction has also resisted any wear and tear from a little puppy chewing. People compliment the leash all the time. My mom is visiting, she’s not even a dog person but asked if she could take him for a walk to try and wear him out and when she came back she was like wow that’s a really nice leash. No one believes me when I tell them I paid under $8 on Amazon! It’s that nice! Don’t hesitate, buy it now!

There are a lot of positives to say about this leash and some cons as well. To start, for the price good bang for the buck. For what you pay for its a pretty good leash. The handles feel well secured in place as well as the clasp. Pulling on the handles and clasp reasonably gives a pretty solid construction feel overall and is soft and smooth to the touch. Silky soft quality padding in the handles that feel gentle in your hands. I do love the double padded handles. If you live in the city, you really need to keep your dog close to you at times at the lights so they do not get run over by cars. This leash does just that. Its an oh shoot bar for your dog. The reflective properties are amazing! I have never seen such a fantastic reflective pet product such as this. Thanks to 3M strips I am sold. Now the cons. It has some threads that are unraveling right out of the package. I do not even own a dog yet and worried this could unravel faster than expected Seems to be more at the handle padding than anything super important to the structure of the support of the entire leash. I think some of the threads could be fabric glued to hold it in place so it does not come apart so fast. The 3M strip is actually thin plastic material. Due to some of the stitching its been cracked and I could see a concern of it unraveling in the near future if the threading that supports the strips comes loose. So far it looks pretty stable. The clasp is a nice solid black color, but it was already sticking and I had to fight with it to open. Good news is that with a little silicone spray or WD40 this could be fixed in no time. I used silicone spray and it works like a charm now. No horrid catching, grinding, or stubborn sticking in place due to what I suspect is paint or rough burrs in the spring chamber of the Clasp. Now for my overall opinion. For what this leash is, I still feel is a great quality for the price. Granted its threads are unraveling in some areas for me, so I could of gotten an unlucky item, but based on what I am seeing now, I would expect this to probably last 6 months to a year based on heavy use. Hopefully longer. If I had a concern, I would worry about heavy pulling dogs over 60 pounds. Its reinforced sure, but still I have seen super heavy duty leashes on the market for massive pups that like to pull like carriage horses. Overall, its not bad and I do like it a lot. It looks to be a great walking leash and a excellent puppy training tool. I took some close ups on some trouble spots that could be a problem for me in the future as well as a photo of how nice that reflective strip is. I could see those strips saving a dogs life some night. Hopefully soon I can test this product out and update this review on a real dog.

A good sturdy lead. Doesn’t cut into the hand if the dog pulls as it’s padded. The second handle (near the clip) makes it easy to have the dog walk next to you without having to wrap the whole lead around the hand
