Perfect kettle at a perfect price. Don’t waste your money on anything else.
We used to have an overpriced kettle which died due to several very basic things going wrong with it. So made the decision to scrap dualit, Murphy Richards (previous owned ones) - not spend so much - and get a good priced kettle that has a nice look. This looks like our old morphs Richards Scandi style kettle so opted for this in the white/wood. Best kettle I have ever used. Lovely lightweight feel to it. Very quick to boil. Quiet (or just as a kettle would sound) not too loud and not pointlessly quiet. The spout is lovely for pouring. Indicator for number of cups is accurate, clearly visible and very good to use (so you don’t end up boiling too much and wasting). It is plastic but who cares, it works. It doesn’t look cheap. It has a lovely design and so far so good. Many nice cups and tea and coffee have been consumed.

Looks great and boils quickly
First off, the Scandi-inspired design is just gorgeous! The sleek stainless steel body with the soft gray finish perfectly complements my kitchen's modern yet cozy vibe. It feels much more expensive than it is, and it’s a pleasure to have on the counter. The 1.7L capacity is perfect for us. I can make multiple cups of tea and enough water for the kids’ instant noodles or a big pot of pasta without refilling. It’s great to have that extra space for when guests come over, too.

Excellent - good value for money - just let down with Asthetic finishing on handle
Brilliant Kettle - Boils quickly and not very loud. Best one i've had in a while and good value for money - only problem is handle is NOT WOODEN - Has a vinyl covering which has blistered with the steam from the lid so has now slightly "bubbled" and is starting to peel off - not sure how long it will stay in a "usable condition.

Returned due to safety concerns
Returned this item within a few days of receiving it. The first time I used it the on/off switch seemed flimsy, with minimal distinction between the on/off setting and seemed to be stuck in the on position. The kettle boiled and rocked furiously and smoke began to emit from the on/off button. I switched the kettle off at the wall and have no idea what would have happened if I hadn't been watching it. After this, the on/off button appeared to return to a neutral position and I thought maybe it was just an initial error or that the button had got stuck in the on position during packaging and transit. I boiled the kettle filled to the maximum level several times (as recommended in the user guide to clean and reduce taint) whilst keeping a close eye on it. The button moved more freely but didn't really give a definite click into the on position and a few times clicked off before bringing the kettle to boil or allowed the water to boil furiously for what seemed like longer than necessary before switching off. I also noticed steam and boiling water escaping from the back of the lid, closest to the handle and was burned by boiling water trickling down the handle when I opened the lid. After several boils and rinses the water still had a very strong burning plastic taste that made the water undrinkable. Despite being advertised as stainless steel the lid, interior wall and water level window of the kettle appeared to be thin, cheap plastic. I did not notice anywhere on the leaflet or guarantee if it stated it was BPA free. I would not feel safe putting this kettle on to boil and leaving the room, especially if filled more than halfway. I feel the on/off button and the seal around the lid have dangerous manufacturing flaws with this design that could result in accidents or injuries. Important safety concerns aside, superficially the kettle looks stylish from a distance but the wood effect sticker that covers the handle looks cheap at close range. Do not recommend it due to safety concerns and my experience with the product. Thankfully return and refund was free and fairly straightforward.

Nice for the price but malfunctioned
Nice kettle but the button opening lid function stopped working a couple of months after use.
