The Song of the King (Redesign)

love the story, and the illustrations are beautiful. Must admit that I found it surprising that the illustrator used a recorder instead of a flute. Maybe it takes a music geek to spot the difference... If they'd added a block to the top, they could have said it was a Native American style flute, but no -- that pic is a European style recorder. Still a great story :-)

Song of the King by Max Lucado is a children's book but with a message ALL Christians need to take to heart - YOU NEED TO KNOW THE SONG (SON) SO WELL THAT YOU WILL RECOGNIZE WHEN YOU HEAR AN IMPOSTER (THE LIES OF EVIL) BECAUSE THE SON IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN TRULY REFLECT (PLAY THE SONG OF) THE FATHER.

Great story. Great deeper meaning. Wonderful illustrations.

Excellent story. Inspiring yet simple enough for a 4 year old to understand!

This is quite possibly my favorite Max Lucado book. I heard it for the first time in a church class for adults and I just had to have it! I've used it for family night activities, teaching children at church, and I always recommend it to other Max Lucado fans. It's a good book with a good message.

I love this book and am thankful I can still buy it. For awhile I had to buy used copies but I think it was re-released!

Like most of Max's books this is another winner! I love his children's books. They may be written for children, but the adults that read to them get just as much from the books.
