Could that be this kind of graphite?: "(100%) graphite" is often loosely used to refer to a pure mixture of carbon reinforcement and resin." It's a high tech material used for fishing rods and aircraft. I almost returned these because having a plastic bottom was not what I expected. I do see with the way the ceramic was cast, there need to be a "plug" to close up the bottom. I thought "graphite" was a color reference. That makes me guess that the copper metallic color does come off easily, but it seems like the "graphite" color is integral to the material. I do think they are beautiful, and will work perfectly for my photoshoot. I only gave 4 stars since I have not tested them out yet. BTW I always pre-heat my cups with boiling water. I recommend this for double walled cups too.

The design is as shown in photos and the cups are very high quality. It is the perfect size for a single shot nespresso pull! Nice decoration, espresso cup, and gift!

First of all, yes these cups will absolutely cool down an espresso shot to immediately drinkable. Just a feature of the ceramic thermal conductivity. I appreciate it in the morning because I'd don't typically have time to wait for it to cool down. I use the glass double walled Jolt mugs for extended warmth. Do not use metal to stir your drink or it could be scratched. Pretty obvious, especially on black. The quality is really excellent and easily justifies the price IMO. The matte ceramic coating is beautiful and the cup feels well balanced in your hand. I think they are great. Highly recommended.

I love love love these espresso cups! They look great, are easy to hold, well insulated and stack nicely. Also very easy to wash, I wash them by hand. I was hesitant because they’re on the pricey side but I have no complaints. They’re very well made and the quality is top notch. I ordered 2 sizes and love them both. Definitely worth the money, will be purchasing more.

Stunning, and the novelty of touch and aesthetics has not worn off some 5 months later.

These are very nice in person. They have a good weight to them, fit a double shot just perfect, and look great. We are hand washing as per instructions - I can see how if you did put them in the dishwasher the bottom ring or 'foot' of the cup may loose it's finish so if you are thinking of getting just know what you will be washing them in the sink.
