This was a good little handy adapter, I took it to Europe and it was quite when I plug it in the first few days, then after a days it has a little noise, which annoying to me. Other than that. It’s pretty good.

We bought this to go to Italy but liked that it would work in many other countries on our future travel list. The first day I plugged in my $200 straightening iron and the iron would no longer work in this converter or in our other converter. At first I thought there may have been a another issue so later plugged in my docking station for my iPhone, Apple Watch, etc. While sitting in bed, I started to smell burning plastic and looked to find the docking station smoking. If we had been out of the hotel, it could have caught the room on fire. My husband is a licensed electrician and he tripled check that all of the settings were correct and that we were using the device in converter mode. This device cost me $200 for the straightening iron because it is fried, $25 for the docking station, $27 for the device itself and $20 for the cheap straightening iron I had to buy in Italy the first day we were in Italy. Save yourself a lot of money by buying a better, safer converter.

It is ok only for devices that need small amount of electricity

I bought this for my trip to Shanghai. I was able to use my curling iron & other Apple gadgets from NYC with this. I was able to charge my iPhone, my AirPods, etc. If you’re using a curling wand, you don’t need a converter. I suggest you not bring a blow dryer because most hotels worldwide have a blowdryer in the hotel room. Don’t forget to bring your hair tools for blow drying so you can maintain that blow out look wherever you travel!

I purchased this after realising that I had bought two different air purifiers from the US and that I would need a power-down converter to make it work with the 220V I have at home. After much research, I purchased this step down converter that promised to do what I needed it to do.However, when I tried it nothing happened... The air purifier simply wouldn't work. No noise, nothing. At the time, I thought there was something wrong with the brand-new air purifier I had just received. So after dealing with that, I tried this same convertor with a new (and different) air purifier machine. This time, something blew up inside the purifier, there was a light and a noise.Basically, this power-down converter was useless. I spent USD50 (when you include international delivery as well as import taxes) and all it did was break 2 brand new devices on which I had spent over USD200 in total already.I would not recommend, and I would be very wary about what they state it can do.

Update: The seller co texted me and asked for clarification on the type of blow dryer I used in order to give better info on the product use. The seller also offered to replace the item at no cost to allow me to try the product again. Great customer service @This worked for my curling iron but the first use with a blow dryer and it blew a fuse. I thought maybe the one I got had a random issue so I bought another one, being out of options having already traveled overseas, the second unit did the same thing. Would NOT recommend!
