New Balance Women's W890v2 Neutral Running Shoe

Normally I wear a size 8 or 8 1/2, regular width, shoe, but I purchased a pair of New Balance shoes through eBay (last year's model and not this one) in a size 81/2. My big toe didn't have enough room and eventually I lost my toe nail after a 10K power walk. Knowing that I needed a new pair, I again did my research as to the best show for the type of exercise that I do, and this one came in very high in the ratings and the price was also reasonable. I purchased a size 9 after reading the Amazon reviews and noting that some said the shoe tends to run small. I think that an 8 1/2 would have given me the same problem I had with my old New Balance show, and am okay with this new set. One thing I do like very much is that they are extremely light weight. I find that they support my foot without feeling as if I'm wearing a 'boot'. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase and my big toe is much happier with the roomier space.

I wear an 8M, purchased a 9M and was still disappointed. I have never had any luck for myself buying shoes online. This is the second pair of NB I bought recently and both pair of different styles have been way too small. We don't have the luxury of a store close to us so I decided to give buying online a try. The color of this style is nice, but they run narrow and short. I would recommend going to the store and trying them on. The don't have the cushion of most running shoes that I'm used to. I also don't like the way they are priced. Different colors should not be so drastically different in price. If it's the same shoe why the different pricing? I like the free return but I don't have a UPS store with extended hours so I found myself running around after I have worked all night trying to find somewhere to drop them off to return them. If you choose to have them picked up at your home there is a fee of 6 dollars. I bought my husband a pair of 10.5 M which is what he wears and then had to order an 11M and they were fine therfore I bought mine 1 whole size larger and as you can see above they were too small. Disappointed in the women's sizing.

Would have given a 5 but they are just a tiny bit taller at the eyelets where you tie the shoe so I used the additional holes and all is well. One of the best pair of N B I've ever owned, I need shoes, about every 3-4 months. Surprisingly these are excellent trail shoes as well as pavement and the gym. Very dark purple just like the pic. Reddish orange trim very bright. Good footbed padding throughout shoe. Plenty toe room. Nice amount of padding at Achilles. I'll get another pair of these. They are wearing well so far. NB had an issue with quality control but I can attest to those issues having been since resolved. Specifically lack of padding in crucial areas, Achilles, heel at back and inside of shoes. Plus I had a couple pair that ripped inside at heel. NB has greatly improved.

Great shoes. Can wear a new pair on a 10 mile run right out of the box. My only complaint is that the light weight soles wear through the toe ridiculously fast. I run 25 miles a week on asphalt and the first pair wore through in under a month. You might blame my running style except it never happened prior to switching to these shoes. I tossed the first pair (painful to do) and bought another which had the same problem. I tried some other styles but love the fit of these so much, I resorted to a $3 purchase of Shoe Goo to repair the sole and they have been fantastic ever since. My husband got a pair and ran a half marathon with me without the slightest break in and he loved them as well. I Shoe Gooed his before they hit the ground. Guess I will just keep the Shoe Goo handy and continue running with happy feet

These athletic shoes were everything I expected them to be. They looked better than the picture. The packaging they arrived in was excellent and I am keeping the flip lid box. If you like the rocker soles on your athletic shoe, this style is not for you. I am not a athletic shoe person, and I have a lot of tendon problems with my feet, so in my estimation, the rocker soles would create stress and more pain than I want to be troubled with. I find these New Balance shoes to be very comfortable and I wear them all day every day. I do experience a problem with the tongue of the shoes moving around. I don't know if this is because of my foot problems or an oversight that the shoe manufacturer should correct. Since I have no real experience with athletic shoes, I can't make a decision about this. The soles have a good tread. I like these shoes a lot.

I'm not a marathoner or racer and don't even tend to consider myself a "runner," but I do generally get out for a 20-30 minute run a couple times a week. Maybe because I don't really think of myself as a runner, I'll buy new tires for my bike but I'm awful at replacing my sneakers regularly. But I recently ordered a couple pairs from Amazon (taking advantage of the free returns) and these were by far the best fit for my regular arch, regular width feet. I've also found I'm noticeably lighter on my feet since getting these. Again, this may be because my last pair were so overdue to be changed, but at least walking around my apartment, they were substantially lighter than the other sets I ordered (which included some "lightweight" Pumas and Asics). I'm also very satisfied with the price, color options and the relatively low heel. I'd happily plan my next replacement as another pair of these!

This is the second pair of this same shoe I've purchased. I got the first pair at a New Balance Store. The salesman warned me that this style wears out quickly. They were the most comfortable shoe in the store with a New Balance insert for ball of foot problems (I have a neuroma). With daily wear the tread has worn down after about four months, and they are not quite as comfortable. I was happy to find a pair on sale through Amazon. When I pulled out the liner to put in my insert, I found a 1/16th; round hole in the first layer of cushioning in both shoes. It creates about a 1/16" drop in the foot bed just in front of the arch. My first pair did not have this weird hole. Fortunately, with my cushioned inserts I don't feel it, but I can with the ones that came with the shoes.

This is the fourth pair of new balance trainers I have bought in the past three years. They are always completely wearable from day one.

I like New Balance have width fittings which with narrow feet is important to keep from twisting when running. These are super lightweight and super fast (I had trouble keeping up with them at first). I have only had them 2 months and there is already a piece of the upper coming apart though I haven't done many miles...otherwise they would have been a 5* product.

Loved these shoes, feel really bouncy and comfy, great for running.and extremely good value for the price . would recommend this brand .

I love these. So light & comfortable. These are what trainers should be & a good fit. The only problem is the sole of the rubber has come off-that's what makes then bad quality so be aware as you won't get much use out of them

These shoes are magic. so comfortable and light. I definitively recommend it. I have had much more expensive sport shoes before and although those were good of course but this shoes have the same quality and comfort but with much cheaper price. The delivery was so fast and good. Thanks Amazon.
