D-sub Dt Series Deutsch Crimping Tool 20-12 Awg

They work as good as an expensive set if you know what you're doing. I've gotten a perfect crimp every time.

The crimping tool was exactly as displayed on the web site ,the price was great frieght charges was very reasonable and the time taken to arrive was as stated by the supplier. In other words this was a great transaction. cheers

The tool was a little too shallow for solid pins for circular plugs, but with some adjustment, got it to work.Crimps are perfect for size 16 solid contacts for circular plugs. Size 20 solid contacts feel less secure but pass the tug test.

Will not crimp 12 gauge connectors (as advertised)!The only way to crimp a 12 awg connector is to thread the wire through the crimper first. But if the other end of the wire is not loose there's no way to remove the crimper.I ended up dismantling the crimper and filing the tips of the pins to give more clearance for the larger 12 awg connector. Worked great after that.

Im very perticular and I dont see how a more expensive set of crippers could make a better crimp. Save you money and buy these instead. They did a great job on the dt deutsch connectors.
