All aspects of the case are of good quality and design. Foam eggcrate material and dimension accommodate my Aero Precision AR-10 with 22" barrel even with Harris bi-pod and scope attached on cantilever riser. Fits snugly and stays locked in place during transport. Tough plastic shell and latches appear to be made to last. I recommend this for anyone wanting to store a large long gun in a durable case at an economical price tag. Good value.

Great foam tention. Things are held in place and does not slide around. Latches are firm. Great for the price.

I bought this case because I needed an easier way to get 2 rifles to the range. I fit a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 as well as a 10/22 Carbine in the case with no problems (even with having to put the bolt on the Mosin sticking up!) and still have enough room for some magazines or my handgun. However, I'm not too sure about taking the case on an airplane, since the baggage handlers tend to throw everything around, even in front of the customers. I'm not sure how the broad sides of the case would handle having a 50 pound hardside suitcase thrown on top of it. Although, as long as the stuff being chucked on top of it didn't land on a corner, but on the broad side of that as well, I think it would be alright. As far as items sliding around in the case, the foam is pretty thick, but when you close the case, anything much less in height than the biggest object will slide around, as the foam will not be pushing on it enough. This would be a problem in any case that doesn't have pick and pluck foam to set things down inside. It's easily remedied by taking foam from something else (electronics packing, buying some new stuff, etc) to place under the shorter objects, so they have enough height to not slide around. Overall, a great, quality, made in USA case for the money, and exactly what I needed. Thanks Plano!

Let me start with The Good: My AR15 fit fine along with 3 magazines and the scope. It appears snug and protected. The case has three places for pad locks. The padding inside the case appears very adequate and I like the fact that it is TSA approved. I have a soft case but wanted a hard case for storing my AR15 and it functions well for that purpose. What I don't like is that the case fasteners or latches are the cheapest plastic like what you would find on those plastic storage bends at Walmart. So, you have this great storage case being held together by the cheapest plastic fasteners that money can buy. What a darn waste. YES, plastic makes things cheaper but don't use plastic for the most key and integral parts. If one of those plastic fastener's cracks or breaks, the entire case will be rendered useless. The case will not stay closed without ALL the plastic fasteners engaged. I think this is a major design flaw. For $5 more, they could have kept the entire case plastic but simply made the fasteners metal and that would have prevented them from cracking or breaking. As is, I would expect the case to last as long as the latch or fastener lasts on one of those plastic storage bends at Walmart. (1 out of 2 breaks within 12 months). I will update this review in 12 months. The case has one handle in the middle for carrying which makes the case rather heavy. A nylon shoulder strap for another $5 would have been a nice add-on. So, overall, I would rate a "B-" mainly for the cheap plastic latches which could break anytime or on the next usage. (Let's hope not).

Great case very sturdy

got this for my AR-15, I just got a new scope for it, and this is the only case that I have found that the gun fits in with the scope on it!! It is so durable, because of course I dropped it with the gun in it the first time I took it to the range, and nothing happened to the gun or the scope...... and it fits my mags great and the lock I have fits perfect around the handle so the kidos cannot get into it, so everyone is safe. The price is great, and this is the perfect case all around also it fits under the bed great too.

Stumbled upon this while shopping many dozens of rifle cases on Amazon. I only need this to transport from my home to the range, so I don't need this to be of premium quality. For the price I got exactly what I expected, a thin plastic gun case, that performs a light duty task. That being said, I would never use this for checking into an airline flight, or shipment to an FFL without a stronger outer shell. There are holes on the far left and right end of the clasps for a lock, but with a bit of force, they could be defeated. Nor would I trust it to take a drop down a flight of stairs. All that being said, for my light duty needs, $31 delivered to my door was a steal, compare to $169 for a more durable case at Harbour 'da Freights. That savings can go right to ammo. After 4 trips to the range, it works perfect. Today will be trip #5. It's doing it's job.

As usual, well constructed and solid rifle case from Plano. Looked small when removed from packaging but it fitted a scoped marlin 94 and a mosin nagant with room to spare. Excellent product, delivered in less that 20 hours.

This case is worth it for the money.Keep in mind this is not a thick strong tough case.You will find those types of cases but you will pay $300 to $500.This case is affordable for storing my airsoft riffle.Has fun inside and great to transport the gun to and from my house and I have no worries about the gun getting damaged.I have some other gun cases and this is larger and sturdier.
