My 24 month old has a big head (98% percentile) and this still fits him with the plastic brace thing inside so it might be loose for some kids. I like that the plastic thing is removable for later when it gets too tight. The quality is excellent and although it is heavier than the cheap Party City one he used to use so but it doesn't seem to bother him (he just has to push it up every once in a while when it falls over his eyes). Great price at $12. He uses this hat and the Learning Resources $12 tool set daily so could be a great gift combo.

My son had gotten a free, flimsy construction hat at our Sanitation department's open house. After taping it over and over again, I decided to buy a sturdy one. This one is great! It really looks like a real hard hat. The plastic is sturdy and doesn't seem like it'll crack easily (you know how some plastic seems brittle - this one doesn't seem that way at all).We've only had it a month or two but it has definitely gotten some good wear and I know this will hold up for a long time.

Such a cute hat for my 1 year old. We bought it for his construction party. It fits him pretty well - still a tad big, but a lot better than other hard hats we bought to try. I also loved that I could take the branded sticker off very easily and it left no sticky residue. Perfect for dress up play!

Our 2 1/2 year old loves this hat. It's much better than the ice pack his imagination had turned into a "helmet". It has what appears to be an adjustable plastic band inside, but we have yet to successfully adjust it - it feels as if it will break if we try to unsnap the tiny little pegs to reposition them, and, if we could change it, it would still not be small enough - so it slides around on his head and he loves it anyway. I may try to insert a couple of pieces of foam pipe-insulation. He wears it while playing with his bulldozer and "rolly steamer". Tree trimmers were on our street the other day - he was so excited, but ran to find his "helmet" before taking us out to watch. The guy high up on the cherry-picker waved and tapped his own hat and gave him a thumbs up. You should have seen the look of awe....

A little large for the two year old I bought it for but he doesn't mind and will grow into it soon enough! I bought this to go with a fisher price tool belt and its an adorable pair. Was definitely a hit with my nephew. Solid hat, thick plastic.

Disappointed that this name brand construction hat is not adjustable. I put small felt pads which work so far so the hat stays on. If this was adjustable it would a be 5 star review.

I bought two of these for my grandsons who are toddlers. They absolutely loved them and they fit them very well! A very good buy! The color is bright yellow (brighter than the picture--at least for what I can see) and I was pleasantly surprised to feel the hat and there were no sharp edges to cause little cuts. Very well made! I am so glad I bought them!
