Nice Basic Book On Tropical Fish Hobby
Another good Dummies book that will give those with little or no experience as a tropical fish hobbyist good fundamental knowledge.

A good how to book
If you are new to aquariums, this is a great place to start. I would certainly buy this book again if I wanted to learn about aquariums from the beginning. It certainly would supply a foundation of understanding about aquariums.

I was an aquarium IDIOT
I've always wanted a large aquarium but never had the means to invest. My sweetheart surprised me with a 75 gallon tank on an enclosed stand with all the fixings. I knew this ran about 2K by the time he was done with the full set up and fish. The fish were dropping like flies and I immediately started looking for help. I found this book and it didn't take long for me to see that I was an idiot fish keeper that needed educating. This book was soooooo helpful in learning to recognize diseases, the functions of water changes, testing testing testing. My well water couldn't be treated enough to make the water right. I now have to buy 15 gallons of distilled water every 2 weeks to keep the fishies healthy, as well as many other things like filter changing schedules and so on. It's a lot of work, time, and money for the upkeep. I suggest you learn from my mistakes and get the book FIRST if you too are like me and want an aquarium.

We are dummies
Excellent reference source for the beginner or seasoned pro. We are somewhere in the middle. This reference will keep you from making costly mistakes with over population..tank initial set-up..filtration..and water testing recommendations. Our go-to ref book.

Haven’t read it yet.
Haven’t even read it yet but it came ripped like it was used and that wasn’t what I purchased.

Excellent Reference Book
Use the table of contents to pick and choose what you want to study. Everything is in there - probably more than most people will need. But it's a good to have it all if and when you need to learn all about fish keeping.

I'm a complete novice when it comes to an aquarium and this book helped me learn what I needed to know. It's been 3 weeks now and my fish are still alive!! Great useful book 🙂

Good to read before you buy and go into your first serious store, read thereafter. I just bought a 20-gallon aquarium, and this book is excellent, useful, well written. Thank you, Madelaine :)
