Vet’s Best Dog Toothpaste, Teeth Cleaning and Fresh Breath Dental Care Gel Kit

Our dog loves this toothpaste and with daily gentle persistence over several months has gone from clamping his jaw tight shut to letting me brush right up to the back teeth and even the inner surfaces of some teeth. The brush was too bulky for him (chihuahua) so I’m using one I got in another pack but very pleased with the toothpaste and have ordered some more.

Reading other reviews - it’s true my dog doesn’t like the taste quite as much as other, much cheaper brands. However, the difference in the cleanliness of his teeth even after one use the improvement was amazing. There was a little stain on one of his teeth that I had been trying to remove with other toothpaste and I used this just once and it has gone. I haven’t had an issue with the brush and my dog chews it each time I clean his teeth. The brush takes a bit of getting used to as it wraps around the teeth but once you get the hang of it, it’s fine. I now alternate with my dogs favourite toothpaste and this one to make sure the taste doesn’t put him off! Will continue to use. My view is persevere even if your dog doesn’t like the taste, they do get used to it and of the brush broke easily ask the supplier for a new one.

Toothpaste taste good - dog loves it. But the toothbrush isn't very strong so after just a snall crunch as we were trying to brush he broke one of the heads off. The design is a good concept but if your dog isn't great at having teeth brushed and is big/got a strong jaw the brush may not last long!

Peter is a 10 year old cocker x, who has recently been diagnosed with gum overgrowth. He can get infections when food gets trapped in the gaps these bumps create. My vet is reluctant to operate because she says his actual teeth are perfect, so she suggested brushing his teeth. He is a self medicating dog so if he does not need something he will not have it forced upon him (not that i would anyway). I opened the tube and showed him then squeezed a bit out and bam gone! He loves the taste and appears as soon as he hears the sound of the tube. I find the tooth brush easy to use, money well spent.

Apart from the fact that my dog loves the taste, it is priced fairly ok. The toothbrush is good size as well. Our dog weighs about 30kg, and it works well. I’m happy with it.

My dog likes the taste of it so i guess it helps, i think it made a bit of a difference, better then doing nothing

Seems good so far my dog doesn’t mind the taste and the shape of the brush let’s me get around his larger teeth. His breath does smell a little better after as well.

Here’s the thing, the product itself is not bad. The brush is well made and doesn’t feel cheap. The concept of three-sided bristles seem very practical. The toothpaste is a good size and smells nice. However: it is not for all dogs. My pup clamped down on the toothbrush as I was brushing his teeth and one of the bristles immediately snapped. Whilst I enjoyed the smell of the toothpaste, the flavour wasn’t really to my dog’s liking. If your dog opens wide and lets you brush their teeth hassle free, and if they like the taste of the toothpaste, this product could be a real winner. Unfortunately for me it just wasn’t ideal for my pup.

Preso per evitare la formazione di problemi dentali del mio cane. L'odore non è forte con forse una nota di menta, lascia l'alito del cane neutro per qualche ora (forse ho bisogno di utilizzarlo per più tempo). Per il resto ottimo prodotto, lo spazzolino buono per tutti i denti a parte i canini che sono troppo grandi. Sarebbe gradita l'opzione per uno spazzolino più grande.

The toothbrush design makes no sense to me... its hard to clean the dog's teeth properly especially since you're dog will wiggle around a lot while you're trying to brush its teeth.
