Sculpey: Tools Clay Blades Set of 3 - Stainless-Steel, Type Blades: Rigid - Wavy - Flexible, Snap On Handles, Cutting Tool, Arts & Crafts Supplies

I recently had lost my flexible blade for my polymer clay work and I thought this pack would be interesting to get, especially since I didn’t have any crinkled blades like these. You get a crinkle blade, wavy blade, rigid blade, and flexible blade. The quality is amazing! They’re so sharp too so be careful when using them! The handles are a little weird to pop on and off but I’m sure with practice it’ll become a breeze. My only complaint is I wish the rigid blade was a a bit less flexible. I’d say it has a medium flexibility to it. If you’re in the market for some interesting and good quality blades, I definitely recommend these!

When I got the 3 ( and unpacked) I had no problem- my exacta knife blade holder needs a new blade, but this is useful more than it was. I’m using in different brands of clay and different methods. A point to note is that the 2 slicing blades are different (and I’m sure you can see the other one has a totally different cut. ) I’ve mainly used the one that is straight with little bending due to sturdier type blade-it’s only recently I realized the difference. If I cut or use cookie type cutter and want to change the shape ( for example) I can flex the bendable one in a curve- it can be a great help and matching my earring changes to original shape ( and making them even and Looking the same can be a challenge) This is a big help. Sometimes I want to split/cut a part of only the top ( not go deeply- its to decorate ).. I’ve impressed a design to go on a “slab of clay” that I’ve conditioned- and don’t want to increase the thickness-,the thin one does well. I love I got all 3 kinds ! I’m a newbie to polymer clay but it’s so fun and I’ve seen videos where zi can sharpen ( after a few months of constant use, it probably will be necessary- and not that hard to do.) This is one of the few (of many tools) I bought that I think were worth it. I really didn’t know know what I needed other than clay. This is a must have for me.

Unlike a lot of reviewers if this product, I did not cut myself getting the pieces out of the package even though they are super duper sharp! They cut through polymer clay like butter. I prob won’t be using the handles for them. I really only needed the flat ones, but didn’t find the flat ones packaged with out the wavy one on Amazon. No big deal, I might use the wavy one some day. Good product, super fast delivery.

I’ve been actively using this set for 3 years and it’s still sharp as new. Very convenient, functional, practical, you name it. But! There’s an annoying problem—the handles occasionally fall apart as they’re made of interlocking details. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it happens nevertheless. An improvement to this design would be making the handles non-removable. I understand it was meant to give flexibility of use, but people are creatures of habit, and once you’re used to using them with handles, it’s highly unlikely you will have the need to remove them. I hope by the time I need the next set, Sculpey makes this change.

I love this and it cut the clay so smooth and easily. Be very careful that it is very, very sharp when you use it. I leave the handles on the longest slicer since and is very east bending to cut clay in curves. I noticed I was reading in the reviews about some people didn't know how to put the handle on so I thought I would take a picture to show. The instruction was a bit hard to understand so I did learned it by myself. You slide the green part off with your fingers and then you take it apart and put it the two black handle pieces over the holes on the blade and slide the green part back on. Be careful because the blade is sharp when you do that, put masking tape on the sharp edge is what i did while doing that. Thumbs up! :)

Love the handle grips as I have some without and half the time pick the blade up the wrong way and cut myself. Not severe, of course, but enough that I didn’t want that to keep happening! Thanks Sculpey. Now just sell a case to store them in please and thank you!

I do quite a bit of clay work with many different tools, I already had an X-acto blade, standard small blade, and a thin flex-blade, but wanted to add these to my collection. I already started using them as the length and flexibility offer many different types of curved cuts. I have nerve damage in my hands, so the finger grips are VERY helpful (I was worried they would be annoying to use) and I don’t slip as much when trying to cut with them while flexing a curve (either cutting myself or ruining my project). So glad I purchased these.

Love these. Nice quality and super sharp. The handles were a bit fiddly to attach, bit of user error though as once I’d sussed it they went on easy and are fully secure. Tip! Line up the holes and pins first and click them first and it’s so much easier. Once I’d realised that the rest went on easy and are very secure. Good price, great length. Decent products would buy again.
