Unbelievable product
Ordered this fly zapper a few days ago after getting infested with blue bottles in our cottage, spent hours the first night going round with the hoover sucking them up when they landed and again on the second night.Got fed up and ordered this fly zapper and waited with anticipation for it to arrive which it did as described. So un boxedit and it and placed it up high and within a few minutes I hired my first zap then another zap and another zap and so on.Worked really well and so satisfying to hear the zap and pop lol.

Highly Recommended
I've now bought three of these, they are effective, gently frying flying pests. The unit is sturdy, the tray is secure, looks smart, and chain is strong. After my first one, I made the mistake of buying a slightly more expensive unit, which was flimsy and sounded more like firework bangers when it goes off.I've sent that back and got 2 more of these babies. Highly recommended.

Works well on house flies but power cable a bit short
I've had similar ones before and they've never been very effective against flies. This one however attracts and zaps them really well - very impressed. It's a large unit but built well and feels solid. The only issue is the power lead is very short only about 1.5m so I've had to use an extension to plug it in. Located in the kitchen.

Great value, does the job
Does the job, plain and simple. It makes zero noise, only when frying the flies. I'm fairly impressed, it has killed flies, small and large. You can see the dead fly in my photo.Update: After two months only, one of the bulbs has already gone, disappointing.Update: After 7 months, the unit has stopped working completely. I will have to see if it can be replaced under the warranty.

didn't even kill a ghost
I live in a small house and i always have problem with tiny cluster flies, this thing didn't even work on them! and them problem with them flies is getting worse and worse. After all the good reviews i been reading i thought i might give it a try. Dam waste of money! and a fool ive been. Now i don't know what else to do to get rid of flies like this they will get anywhere, even on your person.

Who said fireworks are only for the winter.
The fluorescent blue glow emanating from the kitchen and the loud snaps as another fly is vaporised, is truly satisfying. At times through the summer when it was way to hot not to have the windows closed, this exterminator was sparking and flashing with the intensity of a small firework display. Well worth it.

It's effective but brutal.
This thing is like the horrible scene in Green Mile.Certainly kills flies.4 Stars as it tortures house flies for minuites at a time sometimes. I feel like a bad person for the way they go.
