Great Quality Paper At An Amazing Price
I recently purchased a Canon PIXMA MG5320 Wireless Inkjet Photo All-in-One Printer (5291B019) for my wife because she is going back to college to get her degree. We both absolutely love the printer (you can look for my review) but the thing we were most impressed with was its capabilities of printing photos.I've not had experiences with home photo printers in quite a long time. Approximately 10 years in fact when I worked at Best Buy as a student. Back then, the leaders of photo printing were Epson, HP, and Lexmark (that's what we were pushed to sell). I know Canon was a good name back then, but the brands I previously mentioned were our best sellers. The local company reps often came to Best Buy and demo'd the units for customers and while they were impressive, you could easily tell a difference between a photo printed on a home printer vs a photo printed at your local photo store like Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, etc.Fast forward today, I can only assume that advances have been made in both home photo printing and photo paper for those printers. With that being said, a sample pack of 4x6 paper identified as "Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II" in the same color/packaging/labeling as the product I'm reviewing allowed us to test out the photo capabilities of our new Canon printer. All I can say is WOW. Printing photos from high quality sources (straight from a digital camera and not from other sources like Facebook) literally puts out photos that look as good as the kind you get at 1-hour photo store. There is no visibility of any kind of "home quality" printing whatsoever. My wife and I were both so impressed, we immediately browsed back to Amazon and ordered the Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II Paper Value Pack (2311B047) .The reason we bought this paper is because we already tested the quality of the samples. With that being said, the reason we went with the value pack is simply because it's the most cost effective option for anyone wanting to buy this specific paper and you get it for the fraction of the cost. Although Amazon already retails several dollars cheaper than any local brick & mortar store, the value pack is better than buying them separately. What makes the value pack more enticing is that you get a variety of paper that saves you even more money. With the pack, you get the following: - Qty 20, 8.5" x 11" sheets - Qty 20, 5" x 7" sheets - Qty 100, 4" x 6" sheetsAll that for the price of $19.99.As of 8/29, compare that to if you bought them separately on Amazon in EXACT matching quantities possible: - $13.99 Qty 20, 8.5" x 11" Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, 8.5 x 11 Inches, 20 Sheets (2311B001) - $10.17 Qty 20, 5" x 7" Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, 5 x 7 Inches, 20 Sheets (2311B024) - $16.96 Qty 100, 4" x 6" Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, 4 x 6 Inches, 100 Sheets (2311B023) The total for all those is $41.12. WHAT? Why would you even consider buying them separate?? You save $21.13 buy getting the variety pack. Here are a few tips on making sure your photos look great. When you print photos, you need EXCELLENT quality photos AKA straight from the digital camera or high megapixel camera. Don't attempt to modify any kind of original photo you took with your digital camera, otherwise you sacrifice quality. If printing from Facebook, simply don't. My wife tried to print a couple photos she pulled from Facebook. They looked absolutely horrible due to the compression that Facebook does by default unless you check the option to upload in high resolution. This option is *ONLY* available on Facebook's webpage. The mobile versions do not allow you to do this. Because of that, the majority of floating facebook photos out there are not in high quality. Again, the artifacts (square blocks, uneven colors/detail) from compression (like the photos on facebook) will be very very visible when you print on high resolution photo printers and/or photo paper. Again, this issue is not from the paper, but the source of the image from Facebook.Bottom line the value pack is a great deal and the paper is superb. If you have a Canon printer, you can go no wrong. If you choose not to get the value pack and save money, the paper is an excellent quality regardless of which size(s) you buy.

The BEST photo paper money can buy!!!!
I used to have to go to Costco or send them on line to their photo center to get back my pictures. Talking about time being wasted and having to wait so long to see your pictures. I received a Canon printer from my daughter as a gift and then started using these papers. I just inserted my SD card into the printer, I can immediately pick and choose which picture to print and in about five minutes I get a copy of all the pictures I just took, ready for my wife to enjoy and place them in the album. Most pictures we took and printed are those of our grandson, from when he was born to now he is about 15 months old. As soon as we took his pictures,we can see the final prints almost immediately. The funny thing is with Canon ink and Canon papers, the color of the final pictures are just so vivid and beautiful, many times they are better than those printed in Costco or by any photo centers. I once gave some of our grandson's pictures printed with this paper to my daughter and son-in-law, they thought I got them printed from a store. The quality is just that good. I had tried cheaper papers, like those made by HP or Fuji, forget about them, they look awful. The photos printed with this paper in a Canon printer with Canon ink, IMHO, is better than those that were printed with HP paper in an expensive HP color laser printer. I know because I had tried it both ways. This is also the most convenient size of paper and they are very easy to place in the printer. They are really 4x6 inches, unlike some of the Fuji 4x6" paper which is actually a bit long and I had to chop off the extra length of each picture, what nuisance. The only complaint is that these papers can be expensive but once a while Amazon had it on sales. I regret I did not buy a truckload of it when that happened last time. Also, the Canon ink is not cheap but if you would ignore the warning and keep using it until the color fades (on your pictures) before you will replace the different color ink cartridges, you will save a bundle. In short, you will not regret using this paper on a Canon or any color jet printers. How can you put a price on the instant enjoyment when you can print out any photos you have just taken, placing them in your photo album or give a copy to your loved ones or your friends to take home right away.? To me, that is simply priceless! I believe Amazon also has the best prices for them. I know because I probably had ordered many boxes of it from them.

Pictures should be printed, not saved in your phone
Print your pictures. Photographs don't belong on the screen of your phone. They are too small to see, the colors are off, and eventually, you will lose or upgrade your phone and those images will be gone. Do you have an actual camera? That's not where pictures belong either. You take them with the camera, you show them on-line, in a frame on the wall, or in a book. Put them on a computer, and then print them. On paper. Like this paper. Canon makes top shelf photo paper. You can print pictures on it. If you took good pictures, they will look great. You can make a big photo album of your best pictures with this paper. And another album with some 4x6 paper. That's good stuff too. One word of warning. If you print your pictures on the back of the paper, they won't look right and you will get ink all over everything. I'm not saying I've loaded my printer wrong, but, printer ink takes a while to come off your hands. It's messy stuff. If you do make that mistake, lay the ruined print on a flat surface, get a few pieces of regular printer paper, and carefully place the stack on top of the ruined print. Rub, without moving the paper. Lift it up carefully and you will have a strange and very imperfect copy of your original image. Also, you will get more ink on your hands. This is annoying, but now at least you have something unusual to show for it.

Stick with the OEM paper!
Awesome paper, always recommend buying OEM paper for printing photos, I have had bad results with off-brands. Inks on the other hand are another story (see my other reviews). 20 sheets might not seem like a lot but you really don't print too many 8.5x11 inch pictures. Typical Canon quality, and the gloss is perfect. Once your picture is printed you cant tell the difference between store bought and home printed!
